From the very first revelation, it is clear to us that a focus on mastery of science has been given by Islam through the Glorious Qur’an. Indeed, there are many more verses in the Qur’an that provide scientific encouragement for Muslims to master this branch of knowledge. While the Qur’an does contain many scientific verses in nature, this does not mean that the Qur’an is a book of science. Instead, the Qur’an is a book of signs for those who think and understand. This paper looks at the significance of science and scientific thought in Islam, and the lessons that can be learnt from the Qur’an and the Islamic Civilisation with regards to the development of science and scientific thought. This paper also looks at how the Qur’an provides inspiration to Muslim scientists to further their research in their respective scientific fields.

The way to examine the universe and all the beings there in and to discover God's art of creation and announce it to humanity is "science". Therefore, religion adopts science as a way to reach the details of God's creation and therefore encourages science. Just as religion encourages scientific research, so does scientific research that is guided by the facts communicated by religion yield very rapid and definite results. This is because religion is the unique source that provides the most correct and definite answer to the question of how the universe and life came into being.

For the Muslim community, Qur'an is a mother of all resources, not only in the ritual aspect but also in another aspect of Muslim life, including sciences. For them, science that contradicts the Qur'anic teaching is misleading, and we have to avoid it. So that, in developing science Muslims can't be far away from the holy Qur'an. This article aimed to describe the importance of the Qur'an as an inspiration for research in developing sciences in this nowadays and explain the steps of making the Qur'an as inspiration for Muslims in scientific development. Quran is a book of wisdom, a book of guidance and law, and indicative of many research fields as discussed. Quranic verses imply fostering of inquisitive mind and discovery. Quran encourages us to reason, think, perceive, hear, discover and invent. Despite the fact that Islam being one of/counts among the major religions of the world, scientific progress in Muslim majority countries seems to be lagging behind the rest of the world. Therefore, there have been calls by Muslim scholars and clerics to bridge the gap between Islam and science, especially for young Muslims, by harmonising science and Islam in education. Quran Aur Science Urdu Bayan By Maulana Salman Husaini Nadwi

The Quran, the holy scripture of Islam, has been a subject of study and admiration for Muslims and non-Muslims alike for centuries. One of the fascinating aspects of the Quran is its relationship with science. Many scholars and researchers have explored the connections between the Quranic verses and scientific discoveries, leading to a wealth of fascinating insights and discoveries.

One of the main areas of study related to the Quran and science is the concept of creation. The Quran describes how the universe and everything in it were created by Allah, the Creator of all things. The Quranic verses regarding creation are in perfect harmony with modern scientific discoveries, such as the Big Bang theory and the theory of evolution.

For instance, the Quran describes the creation of the universe as follows: “Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then We split them apart?” (Quran 21:30). This verse is in line with the modern scientific understanding of the Big Bang, which suggests that the universe began as a single, dense, and hot point before expanding rapidly.

The Quran also describes how Allah created humans from a single soul and how He caused humans to evolve over time: “And He initiated the creation of man from clay, then He made his offspring from a clot of congealed blood” (Quran 32:7-8). This verse suggests that humans were created through a gradual process of evolution, which is in line with modern scientific theories.

Another area of study related to the Quran and science is the field of medicine. The Quran contains numerous references to health and healing, and many of its verses have been found to contain insights that are relevant to modern medicine.

For example, the Quran mentions the importance of cleanliness and hygiene: “Truly, Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean” (Quran 2:222). This verse emphasizes the importance of cleanliness in preventing the spread of disease, which is a fundamental principle of modern medicine.

The Quran also mentions the benefits of certain foods and substances: “And from the fruits of the date-palm and the vine, you get wholesome drink and food” (Quran 16:67). This verse highlights the nutritional value of dates and grapes, which are rich in antioxidants and other nutrients that are beneficial for human health.

In conclusion, the Quran and science are not at odds with each other. On the contrary, the Quran contains numerous references to scientific discoveries that have been made centuries later. By exploring the connections between the Quranic verses and scientific discoveries, we can gain a deeper appreciation of the wisdom and knowledge contained in this holy scripture.
