Believe it or not, it's not only the fabulous clothes on Cider that make me want to go back; it's the awesome customer service as well. There will be times where issues with clothes come up, that's inevitable but I know I'm okay because their customer service is there 24/7 to take care of me; answering within minutes and solving my issues "expert-ly". Definitely buying something again!
“Merchandise not received”
Merchandise not received when listed as delivered. Company is extremely difficult to communicate customer's concerns. Responses to concerns appear to be computer generated with no regard for customer service. I was a first time buyer with a very negative experience and no merchandise for $149.60.

Shop Cider Review: I Tried the TikTok Famous Clothing Brand, Here’s What I Think

I couldn’t escape this cute orange sweater for months. Shop Cider ads kept popping up everywhere on my feed and then on my TikTok FYP. But I didn’t know anyone in person who has tried them, and all the gals in the ads were nowhere close to my body type.
So I decided it was time to test them out myself for you guys for another round of Saw It On Social, where I give honest unsponsored reviews on all those Insta and TikTok famous brands and products we see online.
Let’s go chat Shop Cider reviews and figure out: are they legit or a scam?
As with any new online clothing store website I encounter, I always have some doubts on if it’s just another crappy fast drop shipping company like Halara is, or another extremely unethical fast fashion company like Shein (seriously, don’t shop there.)
When it comes time for these reviews and brand deep dives, I always try to figure out who owns the company, what their BBB rating is, if they’ve had any super bad press and a general background check for you guys .
I do go into all that and more, but first, let’s chat why I was drawn to Shop Cider in the first place.
Why I Was Drawn To Shop Cider Clothing
As a gal who loves colors and whimsical clothing but lives in a world where neutral Kardashian-style pieces always seem to dominate the market, I think I audibly gasped the first time I saw all the Cider clothes.
Quirky sweaters, vintage feeling tops, romantic lace dresses, pants with freaking mushrooms on them for goodness sakes, it’s like an urban cottagecore wet dream over there.
They even break aesthetics out for easy shopping. Looking for something romantic, or K-pop or retro? You can easily shop those curated categories to build out your dream closet. It’s really that easy.
As with all my reviews, I make sure to buy a variety of pieces (pants, dresses, tops, etc) so get a holistic view on the quality of work compared to the price points. This is what I ended up buying:

Shop Cider Orange Sweater Review
This is the famous Orange Sweate r I’ve been lusting over for ages! It was all sold out on the straight sizes but the exact sweater was available in the plus sizes still. (Annoying it’s on a separate listing but I rant about the size chart issues later).
You could see the green stripe under the white top a little more than I expected but otherwise, it’s exactly how it looks online.
Really soft and the perfect thickness for lounging around the house (not to thin, not to warm). And i get compliments every time I wear it. 10/10.
Daisy Dress Review
I loved this fun dress for summer! The yellow daisy pattern is super cute for warm months. and I could instantly picture myself wine tasting in this dress. BUT, it’s a little wonky.
The sides of the dress stick out a bit on my body and it’s hard to tie yourself, you’ll need a partner.
The fabric itself is good quality and thick, no see-through happening here! 6/10 for the sides.
Beige Hatler Crop Top Review
I picked this halter crop top out because I like the fun front design, but mostly because it was tagged as one of the most popular crop tops on the site.
I always like to test out the popular items for these reviews! And, at $12 ($16 without a sale) I was intrigued.
So, I give this top an 8/10. The fabric is thick and quality and it looks like the photos in terms of color, which is great. But, it doesn’t lay on my body the way it lays on the model’s body.
It caves in a bit at the top. I’m not sure if this is a personal titty size/shape issue or a shirt issue.
That being said, I love the sleek look of this top and it pairs oh-so-well with high-waisted anything. I will be wearing this a lot in the future!
Cactus Earrings
I always like to try out the jewelry at a store because you can learn a lot about how that brand makes products by the jewelry.
I’ve tired earrings from Shein and Romwe, both of which were held together by what looked like hot glue and of course, fell apart while I was wearing them the first time.
I’m happy to report these cute cactus earrings are made pretty well! Nothing high end here, but metal is used for the cactus portion and they aren’t held together by hot glue so that’s a win!
Retro Crop Top Review
As a gal who loves to run around sunflower fields each summer, the second I saw this retro top, and the model in the listing posing in a sunflower field, I knew I had to get it.
I do love the colors of this crop top , but this top isn’t designed the best. The strap is too long so I have to tie it up or my girls fall out the side of the shirt.
And after ordering it, I looked at the other customer reviews on the product listing and saw many people also had issues with the long strap. BUT, it is easily fixed and I don’t mind tying it up. I can’t wait to wear this in the summer. 9/10.
Mushroom Jeans Review
Sadly, I accidentally ordered these mushroom jeans in a size XS instead of XL, so I can’t fit them on my body to do a full review here. They do feel like quality denim and the mushrooms don’t look painted on or anything shady like I’ve seen with other fast fashion companies.
If you also have a pension for mushrooms and cottagecore designs, you’ll love these!
Rainbow Sweater Review
So, I ended up returning the Mushroom Jeans but they gave me the option to keep the jeans and instead get a promo code to buy something new.
With that code, I picked out this super whimsical rainbow sweater ! I haven’t gotten it yet, but I will be updating this post with photos and reviews once I get it.
UPDATE – I got the sweater!! And it’s know one of my favorite pieces of clothing. Everyone says it’s really fun (I get stopped on the street by people asking where I got it!) and I could wear it for days on end.
It just makes me so happy. Cute clothes like this that are truly special are hard to come by.

Shop Cider Is Unique To The Fashion Landscape
The Cider shop is taking a different approach to the fast-fashion world, which intrigues me. According to this article, the company acts more like the picky curator between Chinese clothing manufacturers and the consumer.
While stores like Shien, Romwe and Zaful will grab anything from Alibaba and put it on their website, Shop Cider uses data to pick out quality pieces in very specific styles that they know customers actually want to buy.
They have plans for getting to know their customer accounts better to, building a website that uses dates to recommend pieces YOU will like the best, kind of like the way the TikTok algorithm knows what content you want.
But what really makes them stand out is that they use the made-to-order model. When a consumer buys it on the shop Cider site, the piece is then made at the factory and drop-shipped to the United States to the customer. This helps reduce the amount of fashion waste.
This is why you may see that the dress you ordered from Cider clothing won’t arrive for a couple of weeks. They have to make it first. And honestly, this is a refreshing way to tackle the fast fashion game.
Fast fashion is never going away, so why not build a system that at least cuts out all the inventory waste?
Shop Cider Sizes Reviews – Is The Size Chart Accurate?
What most cider clothing store reviews won’t tell you is that their sizing chart is a bit frustrating, so is the way they display sizes. The measurements are a little wonky.
The XL is basically the same as the 1X size, but they are listed separately.
The shop has also decided to make Plus Size a totally different section and it’s a sad section with a fraction of the pieces that the rest of the shop has.
Considering they market towards US Women, who average size 16, it’s disappointing to see yet another company cater to the thin market.
Shop Cider Sizing UPDATE 2022- Great News!
UPDATE! I was so happy to be poking around the Cider site and saw they finally made their sizing experience so much better.
I hate the disjointed shopping experience of finding a piece I really loved in the straight section and having to dig around the plus size to see if they had it in extended sizes, too.
Finally, Shop Cider has reconfigured its system so when you find something you like and it’s available in more sizes, you can easily click on over. Thank you, team!
Shop Cider Is Guilty Of The Fat Tax
On the note of sizing, Shop Cider is absolutely guilty of using the Fat Tax. This is a term used to describe when a clothing store increases the price of a product in the plus sizes.
This is similar to how pink razors are priced higher because they are pink, and marketed towards women.
For the orange sweater I love so much, it’s $35 in the straight sides, but $37 in the plus sizes. As we covered in this article about size inclusivity in the fashion industry, there’s no ethical reason a company should be using the Fat Tax. Read the post if you want to learn more.
To wrap up the size chart bit, I would love to see Shop Cider ditch the Fat Tax and merge listings betters. If a dress is available in size Small-XXXL, put them together on the same listing, and offer more plus-size options to begin with.

How Can I Do Ship Cider Returns Or Store Credit?
When you are ready to make a return on something, you have to do it all at once. I made the mistake of processing the return for this pair of mushroom pants that didn’t fit, and later it wouldn’t let me try and return other items.
The order model system is a little wonky.
Most likely, you will be given the option to get store credit or mail back your pieces for a refund. I opted for store credit as I had my eye on other pieces I saw just drop via social media.

Is Cider Clothing Ethical?
Honestly, it’s a grey area. At the end of the day, all fast fashion can be considered unethical in terms of sustainability and also worker conditions.
Because Cider works with many different manufacturers it’s hard to know what the working conditions are in each factory.
Working with so many designers across the country, and manufacturers mean the headquarters may have a hard time verifying designs aren’t stolen.
I have seen an artist on Instagram claim Cider has ripped off their designs, which is concerning for sure.
But their made-to-order model is a super refreshing way to approach the fashion industry . Personally, I feel way more ethical shopping from Cider than I would at Amazon or Shein, and I plan on shopping from them again in the future.
How Good Is Shop CIder Customer Support?
Really fast! I had a problem using a code on the site, so I emailed Cider Customer Support and heard back within 24 hours. That’s a lot faster than many other brands I’ve had to contact over the years.
Honest Cider Shop Reviews: Are They Legit?
After testing out so many other clothing brands, I can happily tell you Shop Cider is legit, and they actually have a fairly good product that ships fast with minimal packaging and quick customer support.
Some of the clothing pieces have minor flaws, but their designs are unique and make me happy.
Their sizing strategy is frustrating, but as a size 14 woman, I can find many cute clothing options o wear there. If you wear a larger size, you will struggle.
While I am personally working on slowly editing my wardrobe down, I do foresee myself curating more special pieces from Shop Cider to complete it in the future.
Like reordering those mushroom jeans, but in the right size this time. Because they are TOO COOL not to have.

I’ve been enjoying Cider more and more. They actually approached me and some other plus size instagrammers to help them develop their Curve range. It’s legit refreshing for a brand to ask its audience what we want, and ask for our criticisms. They aren’t perfect. But I can see they seem committed to do their best within the restrictions of their business model.

My daughter needs a dress for a dance and she likes a few of them on Shop Cider. I want to buy a few of them but will need to return the ones she doesn’t like. When you did your return you said they offered a code and keep the jeans or return them. Why? Is returning an issue? Did you still pay for the jeans? Do they offer free returns? There website says you can return one item at a time…What does that mean? You didn’t really talk about that. That’s the most important part for me. We have ordered from sites that say free returns/easy return and they were far from free or easy. Sorry so long, just need to make sure before ordering.
I’m sorry you didn’t hear back from the writer!! I e been doing lots of research and the return policy is honestly horrible it seems. You can get store credit and keep the items, or you have to pay to ship the return to the U.S which may or may not be worth it, they have a third return option which is to get around 50% of your money back and to keep the items. I’m amazed you had a great experience because mine was horrible. I’m a size 10-12, L-XL because I carry a donk. I ordered two difference pieces, one of them in two different sizes. I got a linen two piece set and this super cute skirt two piece set. Let’s start with the linen: Thin, thin, thin. Also, terribly sized. I ordered this set in a L and XL, according to their charts I should’ve fit into the XL, I didn’t. I could not get the vest on, and the pants were so tight. I’m extremely honest with myself about what size I wear because I like to be comfortable in my clothes. The skirt set. Jesus. It’s like it was made for a prepubescent girl and it was sized an XL. The top had a zipper, but I guess they forgot to account for breasts because there was no way. The skirt fit like someone took two rectangles of fabric and sewed them together. Their shipping took forever, but you are right, their customer service was quick to respond. The last downside; I returned the items (in the appropriate return time frame) and had to email them about the status of my refund nearly a month later because I still hadn’t received it. Turns out it was sitting in there return pile and hadn’t been processed by staff. For. A. Whole. Month? Either way, I tell people not to shop there because the only bright side of my experience was the customer service interactions.

Total rip-off, after months of waiting for my order and them telling me to wait, I got tired and demanded a refund, after telling me to wait for a refund I told them where was it and they said that the time to give me one had expired!! Will never shop with them again and you should do the same!
I must admit I kinda like the plus sizes being listed separately! As a plus size gal I can’t imagine what pieces look like on my body type so it’s nice to be able to filter it down and scroll down looking at items on plus size models rather than smaller models and having to individually click to see my body type! That being said it would be nice if they were still linked ie a section on the listing that says ‘plus size version click here’ or something similar

As a size 0, I apologize on behalf of the skinny people who are so ignorant. You shouldn’t pay more for plus size. If they charge by material, at least charge less for smaller. Actually I would agree if that’s the way it worked. It actually costs more to make a size 4-6 as petite, big and tall, plus size etc, costs the industry more to make as it is outside the norm. Cost has more to do with the manufacturing process rather than the material, which doesn’t cost much at all in the scheme of things.

I really love this brand, it’s so hard to find vintage-ish type of clothing without paying a shit load. Majority of the clothing i’ve received is of good quality, and I get so many compliments. I recommend them to all my friends, they really do have just great variety. I do also struggle with the sizing chart, I feel they run small on certain items . loved this review!

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS SITE. I tried ordering a homecoming dress for my daughter. They took out the funds from my account immediately after completing my online purchase and then immediately after, I received an email stating that my payment wasn’t received and my order got cancelled.
The only way to contact them is via email, WhatsApp or fb messenger. After reaching oit via fb messenger, I received a message stating my order was cancelled due to funds not being received and since the order was cancelled they would issue me a refund. I asked how would you refund me when you’re stating the funds were never received and that’s why my order was supposedly cancelled?? They said to wait just 1 to 7 business days for the refund (for the funds they supposedly never received).
I contacted my bank to claim fraud and after explaining what happened to my bank, even they said theu wouldn’t be able to process a refund if they never received any funds to begin with. However, my bank showed the payment was completed and Cider did on fact take out the funds. so mu bank is helping me with doing a chargeback.
So not only did Cider take the funds out of my account, but they cancelled my order and claimed it was due to never receiving funds. They did little to nothing to try and resolve the issue that was created on their end. The best answer they could give me after stating the funds would be returned and it was too late to do anything because the order was already cancelled for non-payment, was that I should try and update my shipping address and send payment 🤦♀️

Thanks for the thorough review, just what I was looking for! I’ve also seen ads for the quirkily cute items, but I’m always very suspicious of any company new to me.
Really helpful to know what you get (especially when ordering normal and not rail-thin sizes), and about the downsides – such as possible issues with returning. I can then take the precaution of ordering only something not too pricey, which I don’t mind giving to a friend or re-selling, if it won’t fit me.
Based on Trustpilot also, various issues with returns seem to be the main thing people complain out. (I’m hoping the issue from comment 13 Oct was an anusual glitch…) Was a bit odd therefore to see the comment here that the review here must be fake, since it’s positive 🙂 Most people – myself included – only tend to vent when there’s something wrong. That’s why it’s helpful to see a review based on an average experience.
I ordered a few items yesterday so I can’t speak to the quality yet, but usually I’m concerned about ordering China made fashion because of all the chemicals they use in the process of making fast fashion. There have been many test done and a lot of those cancer causing chemicals do not wash out. Did the clothing smell or have a specific odor when you received it?

I’ve been wanting to buy things from this site for ages because they have the cutest stuff! I bought three sweaters for my birthday last year (one being that rainbow cardigan you got). My package was marked as delivered but never came. It was so weird because I was waiting for the delivery man and never saw him. I contacted the company and they offered a refund or to reship the items. I chose reship because I really wanted them. The same thing happened with the replacement package. I was waiting for the delivery and it never came. It was marked as delivered. I still have no idea if it was USPS related or Cider related. It’s so frustrating though. Luckily, I did get my money back.

I fell for an Instagram ad for this hot pink set from Cider, and it was one of my best impulse buys ever

- I impulse-bought a sweater set through an Instagram ad from Cider , a trendy online clothing store.
- My order arrived on time and I was actually impressed with the quality of the clothes.
- Half of the set is sold out now, but there are lots of other cute sets available.
I swore I'd never give into fast-fashion ads on Instagram, but I was recently served an exceptionally cute one from Cider and, whoops, I totally caved.
Cider isn't too far off from Forever 21 or Zara with its many trendy styles at affordable price points, but it has a bit of a Euphoria High School vibe. You'll find a ton of lacey crop tops, retro-inspired mini dresses, and the ability to shop by mood (cute, dreamy, grunge, etc.). Some styles have plus-size options, but I wouldn't call Cider truly size-inclusive.
I was skeptical of ordering from Cider since I don't usually buy fast fashion, but I actually had a really great experience buying from the brand.
The thing that got me on Instagram was this adorable bright pink sweater/shorts set — a color that is totally out of my usual neutrals-only wheelhouse. I ended up buying it straight from the ad, which is also unlike me, and very good marketing on their part. Unfortunately, the shorts from the set are already sold out, but the sweater is still availabe (as are a ton of other cute sets, dresses, and more).
My order shipped within about a week and arrived days later in perfect condition with no weird smells or wrinkles. I opted for an XL in the shorts (I'm usually a size 10-12 often wear a large in bottoms, but most of these brands seem to run small so I sized up) and a L in the cardigan (my usual size), both of which were the tiniest bit oversized on me. When it comes to sizing, I recommend going true to your usual.
The material is very thick, made from a dense knit, and it's not itchy in the slightest, which is something I'm super sensitive to. I've worn it completely on its own and with white T-shirts underneath, and the sweater is versatile enough for pairing with jeans and ballet flats or sneakers so it's basically like getting several outfits in one. It washes well and hasn't started pilling yet, either.
The one complaint I have about this set is that I don't like the pleats on the front of the shorts, but not all of the shorts are designed this way.
Overall, I had a good experience ordering from Cider and I'd buy from the brand again if something really fun caught my eye. I can't speak to the quality of everything they make, but if you're wondering whether it's legit, I can at least say you're not going to end up with doll-sized clothing or something made of tissue paper.

Not in my experience. I actually found that the set I ordered ran a little large. If you're ordering something oversized and you're usually between sizes, I'd opt for the smaller one — otherwise I suggest ordering true to your usual size.

How long does Cider shipping take?
I received my set took about a week and a half to arrive in New York after placing the order. I can't speak for every order or shipping location, but from all the reviews I read, this seemed to be standard.

I found this app off of a few ads on Instagram. My first shirt I ordered, I ordered two because I wasn’t sure which size would fit me better. Neither of them fit me 😬. this app had three options of how I could return them!! One of them I got store credit for but I got to keep the top (I gave it to a thrift store), the other one I sent back the classic way and got a refund with free shipping. I wasn’t ready to give up yet. I have a concert coming up that i wanted to buy a new outfit for. I bought the cutest top and pants from this app and they waited to ship it until both the top and pants were in, to help with their carbon footprint and ship them both in the same package. When I was worried about it coming in time I emailed them, and they were so friendly and gave me a 10% discount because of the wait. It showed up in time and looks so cute!! My new favorite brand!
I stumbled across this site while I was on tiktok a couple of weeks ago and it has absolutely ruined my wallet!! They have so many cute things to buy that are 100% my style and they got to my door so quickly! The clothes looked exactly like the pictures showed and although they are not high quality, they are definitely worth the price. My only problem is that there weren’t very many clothes in my size (xs) although I’m finding that’s a problem in lots of places now. I will be ordering from here again!

They have shoes, home decor, bags/purses, lingerie, socks, basically anything and everything. Do not buy from this app. When I first saw it advertised on Instagram, I thought I’d give it a chance. Everything went completely fine when ordering and being delivered, until it came to the return. The items I bought didn’t work out at all, so we followed the instructions and sent it back. It has been a month since we returned and still haven’t gotten a refund back. Horrible customer service. We have been sent lots of confusing and contradicting emails from their customer support that get us no where. We are still battling to get our money back. They don’t have a way to contact them for customer service besides through email that is automated. You can tell since there have been multiple grammar mistakes all through it- very unprofessional.

Ok, first off I love this app clothing!! Let’s be real… we know what we’re getting. My first order had no expectations. Ordering the correct size was a bit difficult, as it always is for a woman! I ordered S in tops and bottoms and would have been fine with an XS. I logged in through CIDER to initiate a return and found an option to get store credit w/o having to return the items. I ordered from here twice. First of all, it’ll take a month for your clothes to get to your house. My second package simply never arrived, and I was home all day so I know for a fact it wasn’t stolen. It simply never came. After two weeks of them giving me the run-around, and they had me contact their sketchy shipping company on their behalf, they refused to refund me or even ship me new clothes. It’s a SCAM!!!! The worst experience I’ve ever had with clothes store so far. Their return policies just suck!!! I ordered a skirt that looked totally different from what I saw on the picture and they told me they are not going to pay for sending it back which costed like even more than a skirt itself. This store claims to be legitimate, however the designs are clearly stolen from other brands and most others look very familiar. Lazy Oaf is one of the brands ripped off - that cute multi heart jumper? Ripped off of the 'All My Heart' one from Lazy Oaf. The light denim skirt with lighter hearts is also reproduced Lazy Oaf. Also saw The Ragged Priest, UNIF, I AM GIA stolen designs. The site lists as being based in Hong Kong which is a red flag, and the entire 'Meet the Team' page has photoshopped pictures for their 'staff'. Very dodgy, wouldn't recommend.

I did. And it was sketchy during the wait—but I'm overall really happy with my purchase. I'm going to be detailed so feel free to skim over my lengthy review if you don't want to read it all. Everything in italics is verbiage I received from Cider emails.
I bought the orange pattern sweater (comes in one size), the floral pattern cardigan and matching skirt, and the Jackie Burkhart High Waist Corduroy Trousers. I spent $82.40 total (I believe I used a 15 or 20% off coupon code I found online as well) and made my purchase on Jan 6. I believe their shipping policy states standard: 8-15 days with flat rate charge of $4.99 in the US.
I received an email on Jan 10 saying:
"We are so sorry for the delay in your order and we are doing our best to ship it out to you ASAP. We've had a sudden surge of traffic from the holiday shoppers and are working very hard to get all orders out in a timely manner. As soon as it's shipped you will receive an email to track your order."
Then, on Jan 14th I got another update I thought sounded a little shady. It said:
"You might be wondering why your Cider order has not been shipped for 1+ week. To tell you the truth...we messed up. There's no way to sugar coat it. We are truly sorry about the delay with your order and we would like to make it right by giving you the option to cancel your order for a refund or continue to wait. At the moment, we expect your order to leave our warehouse within 7-10 days.
- You can cancel and get a full refund, and we will process your request immediately.- Or if you'd like to wait, we'd like to show our appreciation by giving you a 10% rebate of your order. We hope you'll still enjoy your Cider pieces as the moment's not going anywhere.- Please respond within 48 hours if you'd like to request a full refund.Click here to make your choice"
I opted to continue to wait and got around an $8 refund immediately (I paid with PayPal in case I had any issues).
Anyway, I waited and tracked my clothes from the link they provided after shipping it. I originally thought it would be coming from California but the tracking was definitely from China. The package itself is labeled from California, so I'm not exactly sure what's up with that—but I finally got my clothes TODAY (Feb 3). So it roughly took about a month. The clothes fit perfectly and everything is surprisingly amazing quality. The pants were probably the cheapest feeling (thin material) out of everything, but I wasn't expecting a lot for $16 pants. I probably won't be buying clothes from them all the time because of the wait, but I've waited longer for online bought clothes so I'm not too surprised or bothered by it. I would shop there again in the future and would recommend taking the gamble and waiting if there's something you really like on their site.
They're dropshipping. It says they have an address in California but many Asian dropshipping companies do it so they seem less sketch but in fact they're all based in China.

Do not buy from shopcider! The quality is awful, not even shein standard! I have being waiting 2 MONTHS to just receive the half of my order.... (it came from China) customer service was terrible and rude, they didn’t even told me where the rest of my order is or if it’s even coming and they won’t refund me the missing clothes, it’s unacceptable. I also had to pay customs taxes to receive the parcel as they didn’t sent the parcel with taxes paid as other stores do. HORRIBLE experience, do not recommend to buy here, I feel like I have being scammed.

“Awesome Customer Service”
Believe it or not, it's not only the fabulous clothes on Cider that make me want to go back; it's the awesome customer service as well. There will be times where issues with clothes come up, that's inevitable but I know I'm okay because their customer service is there 24/7 to take care of me; answering within minutes and solving my issues "expert-ly". Definitely buying something again!

Merchandise not received when listed as delivered. Company is extremely difficult to communicate customer's concerns. Responses to concerns appear to be computer generated with no regard for customer service. I was a first time buyer with a very negative experience and no merchandise for $149.60.

Our 2022 Transparency Report has landed
Worst service for anything refund related.
Their customer service is absolutely horrible. They allgive different information and date ranges. I should have know better than to order from a company with no actual customer service number. They received my return 8 days ago and still no refund when I reached out at 7 days They told me a refund takes 7 days from Dat received when I explained that it was already 7 days They now need an additional 3 to 5 days? Like why? Now they're claiming an items was missing from my return that was definitely in there with tags attached considering it didn't even fit. Clothes might be cute but I would never order again because of the service and would tell people to run the other way if their thinking of ordering. I think they're a scam when it comes to actually refunding money back.

Order never came and they won’t refund
Ordered in January (almost 2 months ago now) and the items never came. I didn’t receive any correspondence saying there was an issue or to expect delays. I emailed customer services and asked for a refund. They said they can only re ship the items which may take up to 8 weeks or give store credit. Unacceptable.

Gift card policy is ridiculous
Clothes are nice but customer service is terrible. I got given gift cards to use but later found out I can only use 1 per transaction. They offered to combine the gift cards I had so I accepted this but later they told me they couldn't do that as the gift cards had been purchased separately. So I had to make 2 separate orders and pay for delivery twice. Gift cards are money and it makes no sense you can't use more than one at a time. I won't purchase from them again as the whole experience has put me off.

Took 3 months to get a refund
Took almost 3 months to get a refund. Bought two pairs of dungarees, didn’t like them so sent them back. I waited about a week or two then asked how long for the refund. Was told their policy is 28 days for a refund. Thought that was a bit extreme but ok. Forgot about it for months. Came back today (3 months later) and checked the app, said refund processing STILL. Contacted them via messenger and highlighted I hadn’t received my refund still and was refunded straight away. If I hadn’t chased them up, would I ever have received my refund? Who knows. Not shopping there again.

Incredibly shady verification process
I decided to shop with Cider for the first time, the clothes were really cute so I placed a large order, knowing not everything would suit me and I may have to return some items. I received an email telling me they couldn’t authorise my order because it was ‘too large’ and they were supposedly worried I was reselling (I don’t know what business buys literally one item in one size of each thing??) and told me I had to send them my passport details or driving licence for them to send me my order. This feels so shady and I have never in my life been asked to do this, and I’m pretty sure they can’t ask you to do that. They said alternatively I could confirm the last 4 digits of my card, but why then would they first ask me to send a photo of my passport? I immediately cancelled my order and I will be watching my card statement like a hawk to make sure I receive the refund, I have never heard of such a weird and invasive business practice, I was trying to buy clothes, not a weapon!

True to size, great quality clothes
I've had a great experience with Cider after I purchased things during Black Friday. The clothes looked exactly like in the pictures and it fit me true to the size I usually wear. The sizing guide was pretty helpful too. The quality seems great as well so overall very satisfied with their products!

Cider order
I was out of town at the time of delivery, as well as where the order was brought to the DHL Packstation for self-collection, which is why it was returned. Thereupon, the customer service wrote to me and asked me if the order should be delivered again (was not a return on my part). I answered in the affirmative and after a few days the order arrived. Unfortunately, I did not like a piece of clothing, and so I sent it back professionally as a return. After waiting a month, I have not yet perceived a refund, so I wrote to customer service, and this worked very well. After writing with the nice employee, refund was also sent to me successfully. In summary, the transaction and customer service were very satisfactory.

Be careful! Risky/Scam Site
I had an order for 16 items and the shipping was really fast but it looks like they split my package in 2, so I’m still waiting on 5 items! Also, they sent me 2 things I didn’t even order with no warning & im missing 2 things that I really wanted. I messaged them on both instagram accounts hoping they can help me out with this. Each sent me an instant automated reply requesting my email/order #, I sent it to them, they replied asking for photos of the items I wanted/what was received. But I see in the other similar reviews that once you send the info the gag is that they stop responding. Sooo hopefully they can help me out with this, but I won’t buy from them again! It’s too much of a risk especially considering their return policy! Cute ass clothes tho 🔥 UPDATE: their social media team sent me 100% store credit for both items that were wrong, however it only amounted to $22 so it’s like you either pay for shipping or fork over even more money to them which I ended up doing 😂 it’s a scammy company, but like I said the clothes are really cute

Discussing customer service. My barcode for a return won’t work I have had numerous emails to and from coder with a generic reply. I then did get sent another barcode with again said in valid. I have a large parcel to return over £200 pounds worth and cider have been nothing but zero help! I am so disappointed with the service. I have no way of returning the items and getting my refund from them! Scams

Cider charge a $15 fee on all returns for refund, this information is not provided before purchase, so do not order from this company unless it’s exactly what you want because you will lose your money. Dress was too big, (even though I followed the size guide) cheap materials used on this dress, unhappy with purchase and will now lose money if I return it. Will not ever shop with cider again.

One of my favorite shop !
I started shopping in Cider a long time ago, and it's still one of my favorite shops ! There are a variety of clothing that I can't find anywhere else, I'm often asked where my clothes are coming from, and spread the word about Cider ! -1 because the sizes aren't really fitting sometimes, i'm an S and depending on the clothes, I sometimes realize I had to take a larger or smaller size. Great clothes, shocking returns policy
Cider has a wide variety of clothes and really decent pricing. Very similar to Shein, quality is hit or miss, but that’s to be expected for the price point. What’s put me off from ever shopping at cider again is their returns policy!! First, you only have 14 days to make a return (most places it’s 30 days), they deduct $15 from your refund amount AND in some cases, like mine, they’ll make you PAY to return the item as well. That is, they don’t provide a label you have to buy the parcel yourself. So you’ll be spending upwards of $20 just to return something. Really, really disappointing to find that out. I was so excited when I discovered them as I thought I’d found my next go to place to get some affordable clothes, but with that sneaky returns policy never again.

A No-Frills Cider Clothing Review

Whether it was from targeted ads, Tiktok, or your favorite Instagram influencers posing in that ever so popular and cute orange sweater , if you’ve been on social media at all lately, you’ve probably heard about Cider . And no, I’m not talking about the hot apple drink that means it’s fall, y’all. Though that’s popular too.
No, this Hong Kong clothing brand seemed to come out of nowhere and you couldn’t scroll without seeing new Cider hauls. With affordable prices and unique styles, young women everywhere started raving about this brand and it didn’t take long for their social media presence to skyrocket (currently over 2m IG followers).
Unless you’re on TikTok, you don’t see many clothing Shop Cider reviews. So consider this my no-frills Cider clothing review from someone that’s just a little bit picky with her clothes.
First off, is Cider a scam?
Simply put, no. Though I won’t say it’s the gold medal of online clothing stores, they don’t steal your money, send you fake clothes, or purposefully hold back your order. At least not in my experience. It’s a legit clothing company and my experience was pretty cut and dry. Online shop for hours. Have a shopping cart that’s way out of budget. Spend more time narrowing it down. Fork over money. Receive my clothes in a timely manner.
Why I wanted to try out Cider
Though I think I’m a bit older than the targeted audience (it’s aimed at Gen Z), I’m not immune to a targeted ad every now and then. I’m only human after all. On Instagram, I kept seeing these adorable tweed sets in my stories and I’ll admit, I got really interested.
Their goal was accomplished and I headed over to their website, seeing more unique styles that I haven’t really seen before. All for an amazing price! The customer reviews seemed pretty good too. I kept eyeing these pieces and decided to pull the plug.
It’s worth mentioning that you get free shipping on orders over $49. Also, I followed the size chart so I didn’t end up with anything two sizes too small.
My experience
I love the unique styles at an affordable price tag. They have different collections, also called drops, tailored to specific styles. Whether you are “feeling sophisticated” or “feeling retro”, you’re bound to find 2 (or 20) items that give you all the heart eyes. These are the items that gave me the heart eyes!
Knitted Casual Suit
I’m always on the hunt for comfortable and cute work-from-home outfits since both of my jobs (mom and online business owner) involve being home like, all of the time. This set caught my eye for the chic and neutral look, while also being a comfy knit material.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a big winner. The button closure of the cardigan didn’t lay flat, but that’s not the end of the world if you wear it open. The shorts had a little bit of a weird fit, with the crotch having a strange bubble bulge. Maybe it’s just me, but otherwise, it looked cute and felt comfortable!
Stripe Knitted Vest
I loved the idea of this sweater vest as a spring to summer transition piece. Unfortunately, it had the same issue of the button closure not laying flat. It didn’t feel tight on me, but it looks way better on the model!
You could wear this open, however, and it would look French girl chic over a swimsuit with denim shorts, red cat-eye sunglasses, and a straw bag in the summer.
Contrasting Trim Knit Cardigan + Contrasting Trim Knit Pants
Okay, so I loved this one and was very pleased! If Chanel were to lounge around the house, I bet this is what she’d wear.
Though it had a few stray threads, the quality overall seemed good and with nude undergarments, it wouldn’t be see-through. I liked the fit and comfort, but I loved the style even more!
Knit Mid Waist Shorts + Knit Long Sleeve Cardigan + Knit Tank Top
This set is incredibly cute and close to being perfect, with a few small cons. It’s a bit scratchy and the buttons are a little wonky on the tank top, but it’s not too bad and maybe worth overlooking for the cuteness of the set!
The fit of the shorts was a little weird around the crotch for me, but if you are just wearing the shorts at home then it may not be a big issue. Also, I love how you can break this up and wear the top set with jeans for a classy chic look.
+ Letter C Beanie + Letter C Baker Boy Hat
Though I’m pretty sure “C” is meant for their shop name, I’m just pretending that it stands for “Carolyn” and “chic”. So cute!
Though the beanie is a little on the tight side, I think it will stretch out and they seemed pretty well made!

Is Cider good quality?
Well….not totally. As I previously said, I’m pretty picky about clothes and this is a no-frills review. The majority of my order had loose threads or a weird fit. I even didn’t picture a pair of pants in this post where the button popped off the first time I ever tried to put them on.
On most of my sweaters, the button closure wouldn’t lay flat, even though I got the proper size. It wasn’t tight enough to pull and gape, yet it looked like it was. Also, on some of the shorts, the crotch seemed really off.
But with that being said, I can’t say that everything was bad. You know the saying, you get what you pay for. Some of my items at the higher price points were of nice quality!
As far as fast-fashion companies go, they do have a pretty unique standpoint. They are committed to a pre-order model, meaning when you “preorder items”, your item isn’t made until it’s paid for. This is meant to reduce waste and the fast fashion practice of making clothes in bulk.
Final Verdict | Cider Clothing Review
Though it’s a Hong Kong brand, it doesn’t take long to get your clothes if you live in the United States. I had some problems with my order, but customer service helped resolve the problem for me in a few days.
If you are on a budget, want cute clothes, and aren’t all that picky about quality and fit, then this may be the best place for you. Shop here for a special occasion or to add a few unique and trendy items to your wardrobe, but I would avoid shopping here too much and filling your wardrobe with these pieces.
So, don’t consider this an entirely negative review. Their new products are tempting and their sale prices even more so. Just don’t expect the world and know that you may be taking a bit of a risk, as the quality is lacking on some pieces.
What I do recommend though is building a timeless wardrobe and filling your wardrobe with staple pieces in order to have a chic and timeless aesthetic!

One year later, Chris Rock slapped back. Hard.
It was certainly not as startling as Will Smith hitting him at the Oscars, but his long-awaited response, in his new Netflix stand-up special “ Selective Outrage ” on Saturday night, had moments that felt as emotional, messy and fierce. It was the least rehearsed, most riveting material in an uneven hour.
Near the end, Rock even botched a key part of one joke, getting a title of a movie wrong. Normally, such an error would have been edited out, but since this was the first live global event in the history of Netflix, Rock could only stop, call attention to it and tell the joke again. It messed up his momentum, but the trade-off might have been worth it, since the flub added an electric spontaneity and unpredictability that was a drawing card.
At 58, Rock is one of one of our greatest stand-ups, a perfectionist whose material, once it appeared in a special, always displayed a meticulous sense of control. He lost it here, purposely, flashing anger as he insulted Smith , offering a theory of the case of what really happened at the Academy Awards after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair, and in what will be the most controversial part of the set, laid much of the blame on her. This felt like comedy as revenge. Rock said he long loved Will Smith. “And now,” he added, pausing before referencing the new movie in which Smith plays an enslaved man, “I watch ‘Emancipation’ just to see him get whooped.”
One of the reasons Netflix remains the leading stand-up platform has been its ability to create attention-getting events. No other streamer comes close. Through a combination of razzle dazzle and Rolodex spinning, the streaming service packaged this special more like a major sporting event than a special, a star-studded warm-up act to the Oscars next week.
It began with an awkward preshow hosted by Ronny Chieng, who soldiered through by poking fun at the marketing around him. “We’re doing a comedy show on Saturday night — live,” he said, before sarcastically marveling at this “revolutionary” innovation. An all-star team of comics (Ali Wong, Leslie Jones, Jerry Seinfeld), actors (Matthew McConaughey) and music stars (Paul McCartney, Ice-T) hyped up the proceedings, featuring enough earnest tributes for a lifetime achievement award. As if this weren’t enough puffery, Netflix had the comedians Dana Carvey and David Spade host a panel of more celebrations posing as post-show analysis.
This was unnecessary, since Netflix already had our attention by having Rock signed to do a special right after he was on the receiving end of one of the most notorious bad reviews of a joke in the history of television. Countless people weighed in on the slap, most recently the actor and comic Marlon Wayans, whose surprisingly empathetic new special, “God Loves Me,” is an entire hour about the incident from someone who knows all the participants. HBO Max releasing that in the last week was its own counterprogramming.
Until now, Rock has said relatively little about the Oscars, telling a few jokes on tour, which invariably got reported in the press. I’m guessing part of the reason he wanted this special to air live was to hold onto an element of surprise. Rock famously said that he always believed a special should be special. And he has done so in previous shows by moving his comedy in a more personal direction. “Tamborine,” an artful, intimate production shot at the BAM Harvey theater, focused on his divorce. This one, shot in Baltimore, had a grander, more old-fashioned vibe, with reaction shots alternating with him pacing the stage in his signature commanding cadence.
Dressed all in white, his T-shirt and jeans hanging loosely off a lanky frame, and wearing a shiny bracelet and necklace with the Prince symbol, Rock started slowly with familiar bits about easily bruised modern sensibilities, the hollowness of social media and woke signaling. He skewered the preening of companies like Lululemon that market their lack of racism while charging $100 for yoga pants. Most people, he says, would “prefer $25 racist yoga pants.”
If there’s one consistent thread through Rock’s entire career, it’s following the money, how economics motivates even love and social issues. On abortion, he finds his way to the financial angle, advising women: “If you have to pay for your own abortion, you should have an abortion.”
A commanding theater performer who sets up bits as well as anyone, Rock picked up momentum midway through, while always hinting at the Smith material to come, with a reoccurring refrain of poking fun at Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z before making clear it’s just for fun: “Last thing I need is another mad rapper.” Another running theme is his contempt for victimhood. His jokes about Meghan Markle are very funny, mocking her surprise that the royal family is racist, terming them its originators, the “Sugarhill Gang of racism.”
On tour, his few jokes about Smith were once tied to his points about victimhood. But here, he follows one of his most polished and funny jokes, comparing the dating prospects of Jay-Z and Beyoncé if they weren’t stars but worked at Burger King, with a long, sustained section on the Oscars that closes the show. Here, he offers his theory on Will Smith, which is essentially that the slap was an act of displacement, shifting his anger from his wife cheating on him and broadcasting it onto Rock. The comic says his joke was never really the issue. “She hurt him way more than he hurt me,” Rock said, using his considerable powers of description to describe the humiliation of Smith in a manner that seemed designed to do it again.
There’s a comic nastiness to Rock’s insults, some of which is studied, but other times appeared to be the product of his own bottled-up anger. In this special, Rock seemed more raw than usual, sloppier, cursing more often and less precisely. This was a side of him you hadn’t seen before. The way his fury became directed at Pinkett Smith makes you wonder if this was also a kind of displacement. Going back into the weeds of Oscar history, Rock traced his conflict with her and Smith to when he said she wanted Rock to quit as Oscar host in 2016 because Smith was not nominated for the movie “ Concussion ” (the title that he mangled).
That her boycotting that year’s Oscars was part of a larger protest against the Academy for not nominating Black artists went unsaid, implying it was merely a pretext. Rock often establishes his arguments with the deftness and nuance of a skilled trial lawyer, but he’s not trying to give a fair, fleshed out version of events. He’s out for blood. There’s a coldness here that is bracing. Describing his jokes about Smith’s wife at the ceremony in 2016, he put it bluntly: “She started it. I finished it.” But, of course, as would become obvious years later, he didn’t.
Did he finish it in this special? We’ll see, but I think we’re in for another cycle of discourse as we head into the Academy Awards next week.
At one point, Rock said there are four ways people can get attention in our culture: “Showing your ass,” being infamous, being excellent or playing the victim. It’s a good list, but this special demonstrates a conspicuous omission: Nothing draws a crowd like a fight.
