It was winter. There was pleasant sunshine. The bus started punctually just at 6 a.m. It was a very fast-moving bus. However, I sat beside a window and was looking outside through it. The sun was rising with all its splendid beauty which was a very beautiful scenery. Leaving the urban areas our bus soon began running at a high speed along the Dhaka-Tangail highway. I gazed and gazed at the houses, trees, and meadows through the window with a cheerful mind. Things came to my vision and vanished in the twinkling of an eye. Everything on either side seemed running swiftly in the opposite direction.

When the bus was passing through the forest of Modhupur Ghar, the tall trees with green leaves overhead presented a nice view. I was really charmed at the green panoramic beauties of Nature. It filled my heart with great joy. The bus ran without stopping for three hours. It then stopped at a place named Palash. There was a restaurant on the roadside. We had light refreshments there.

After a few minutes, the bus began its journey again through the green fields on both sides of the road. This time we saw bare-bodied children tending cattle and the grown-up people working in the fields. At about 12 noon we reached Jamalpur. Thus our journey came to an end.

An Essay on a Journey by Bus [PDF]

We all love adventure, right? Travelling by bus is one kind of adventure too, not your regular bus journey at all, a long journey, far away from home, so in this contrary, today we are going to present an essay on a memorable bus journey mine, so let’s jump in!

Essay on a Journey by Bus feature image

Last summer when we had our summer vacation, I went on a trip to Sikkim with my family. While we would usually travel by train, it was a very last-minute plan and hence there were no seats available. Due to this, we had to resort to taking a bus from the length of Kolkata to Kalimpong and from there on we would travel by car.

After packing all of our winter clothes and woolen sweaters and caps, we were off on our journey lasting thirteen hours and thirty minutes long.

It was an air-conditioned sleeper bus where to my surprise we also had charging ports available near our berths. What was supposed to be a bumpy and grueling ride actually turned out to be a mesmerizing and eye-opening journey!

We boarded the bus at 6 in the evening, the conductor checked our tickets, we loaded our luggage into the storage compartment and we were off on our journey to Sikkim.

My mother had prepared and packed a hearty dinner of steamed rice and potato curry that we ate on our way. Meanwhile, I and my brother had come armed with our favorite chips and chocolates and even some packets of popcorn for the long journey.

As the night proceeded I started playing games on my phone to pass away my time. After a while when I got bored I asked my brother to let me watch a movie with him. So with some persuasion and my skills of bargaining, we finally negotiated and watch a Disney animated movie called Ratatouille.

The movie revolves around the life of an aspiring chef who cannot cook for hi-life and how a measly rat teaches him the art of cooking by guiding him through the kitchens of Paris.

After the 2 hour movie, I realized I was not feeling sleepy yet while my brother snored away. Even my parents had fallen asleep by then and I did not wish to disturb them. So I went and sat by the window peering out into the darkness to see the landscape and calculate our progress.

Unfortunately, we seemed to be passing by some villages and there was not a speck of light to be seen. It almost feels very eerie and supernatural of sorts. Gradually, the gentle rocking of the bus managed to lull me to sleep. Not long after, I woke up suddenly due to a strange noise that I could hear through the window.

Looking outside I realized that we were traveling through some bridge that seemed to be suspended over vast areas of land. It took me about five minutes, but then I realized that the bridge was not suspended over land, it was suspended over water.

I was at once intrigued by the vision I saw in front of me as I realize I was looking at a dark and silent stretch of sea. The strange noise that had woken me up seemed to be of the waves crashing against the bridge.

They came with a roar and got silenced each time they crashed onto the rocks. Though we crossed the bridge within a few minutes, it seemed to last for hours as I kept staring into the black mass under a dark sky.

Once we reached stable land again I sighed a breath of relief as throughout the path of the bridge I kept thinking about what if the bridge broke and we fell into the sea. Then once we landed off the bridge we were engulfed into complete darkness once again.

Then I drifted off to sleep again out of sheer boredom. When I woke up the next time, it was already the next day and I could finally see the scenery outside thanks to the daylight.

As we reached closer to Kalimpong we crossed massive forests with canopies so thick that hardly any sunshine seemed to pass through them. With lush green growth on both sides of the road, it was a refreshing change from a city landscape. On our way, we even crossed some tiny waterfalls that joined onto rivers and streams in the valley.

As we reached towards the end of our journey and neared Kalimpong I realized that if we had not booked these bus tickets, then I never would have been able to experience all the new things.

A Journey by Bus Essay in English

By: Haque ; Words: 400; For class 9-10/SSC

Introduction: A journey by bus is a very pleasant one. Though there are many modes of transportation, I prefer a journey by bus as it is faster than other vehicles. I had a journey by bus last month this year.

Time & Occasion of the Journey: It was the month of March. One of my uncles was transferred to Rangamati. He told me that the place is very beautiful. Every day many domestic and foreign tourists go there. So he invited me to visit him on one of my vacations. I have also heard praise for the beauty of Rangamati. So, I am glad to have the opportunity to see the place. One day I prepared for Rangamati with my five best friends. We decided to go there by bus.

Description of the Journey: On the appointed day we gathered at Muradpur Bus Terminal at about 6:30 a.m. Then we boarded a bus for Rangamati. The bus started its journey around 8 in the morning. When the bus started running, the passengers of the bus got busy with various activities. Some of the passengers were reading the newspaper, some were talking, some were reading books, some were eating nuts or juices, and most of them were enjoying the natural beauty by looking outside. The view from both sides of the bus was eye-catching. Most of the time the bus was running on a winding hilly road. There were steep hills of red soil on both sides of the bus. When the bus is near Rangamati, I see a river flowing along the steep side of the hilly road on the right. It offered an exquisite beauty to me. On the other bank of the river stood the lofty, hazy mountains. I could see the mountain tops covered with fog. It seemed to me that the mountains were ejecting steam. I was quite spellbound. In the river below I found many sailboats and barges plying up and down the river. They were carrying different goods. I also found many rafts of bamboos. People sitting on them were carrying them to different places for selling. At last, our bus reached Rangamati. It was about 11 a.m.

Destination: When the bus reached the station, we got down from the bus and hired three rickshaws to take us to my uncle’s house. It was about ten minutes’ journey to my uncle’s house. My uncle was overjoyed to see us.

Conclusion: Before that, I had no idea how beautiful a bus journey among the hills could be. The journey was a quite new experience for me. It will always remain fresh in my mind.

A Journey by Bus Paragraph, 150 Words

By: Haque ; For class 7-8/JSC; 14-03-’22

A journey by bus is a very simple journey. We usually travel by bus from one city to another. But sometimes this simple journey can be considered extraordinary. I have recently had such a wonderful bus journey experience. I went to Srimangal from Dhaka with some of my friends. The area is famous for its hills and tea gardens. We left at 8 in the morning and reached our destination at 2 in the afternoon. As soon as our bus entered Moulvibazar district, we saw rows of hills on both sides of the road. The road is crooked like a snake with mountains on both sides. The hills are wrapped in green tea plants. There was a natural waterfall not far from where we got off the bus. We wandered from hill to hill through the tea garden till evening. When the scenery around is beautiful, a journey by bus can be very pleasant, I realized that while visiting Srimangal.

Essay, Paragraph, Speech on “A Journey by Bus” Essay for Class 9, Class 10, Class 12 Class and Graduation Exams.

A Journey by Bus

It is generally said that a journey by bus is not so thrilling as one by train or aero plane is. However, I had quite a pleasant experience of the journey by bus which I undertook last Sunday.

The week before Sunday had been a very hot one. My parents decided to spend a week at Shimla. We boarded the bus from Chandigarh to go to Shimla. We reached the bus stand early in the morning. My father had to stand in a queue for some minutes to buy the tickets. Meanwhile, we killed the time by sitting on a bench near the queue.

Hardly had father bought the tickets at the booking window when the bus bound for Shimla came. We boarded it immediately. I was feeling a thrill of pleasure in my heart. I was fortunate in getting a seat near the window. I looked out constantly with great curiosity. At first the terrain was plain and it was quite hot even in the bus.

After sometimes, the bus moved on a hilly terrain and seemed to be moving upwards. It passed through a number of dark tunnels. I however, did not feel afraid because my papa and mummy were also there with me. Moreover, I found myself quite grown up to be courageous and bold.

I saw green hills, lush green forests which were dark and deep and small rivulets and springs. The pine trees looked very charming. The colorful flowers dancing in the breeze seemed to carry away my heart.

Indeed, it was a hilarious journey. As we reached Shimla, we felt that it was there cold enough to force us to wear some woolen garments. This was my first visit to Shimla which I can never forget. Nor I can ever forget the sweet journey by bus that we had.

Every bus journey has a unique story to share. Bus is not just a mode of transportation; it can take us on an unforgettable adventure. As I stepped onto the bus, I had no idea that it would be a memorable experience of my life. Actually the engine played a great background music, blending with the diverse souls on board. When I entered the bus it was like entering a small world where I was having new moments with each passing mile. People from different backgrounds found solace within these mobile walls. There were many people going to the same directions and some were deboarding buses at different stops. Experienced travelers were sharing tales of distant lands, and quiet observers seeking refuge from their own thoughts. Through dusty windows with fingerprints and conversations filled with laughter and whispers, I witnessed glimpses of humanity’s struggles and triumphs merging in one space. Faces displayed both joy and sorrow, moving together as strangers became temporary known people. As I looked out of the window, landscapes unfolded like painted canvases. My heart was filled with admiration for Mother Nature’s masterpiece. Majestic mountains stood tall against a blue sky. Green fields danced under golden rays of the sun. The Different Types of Buses

The Different Types of Buses edumantra.net

When it comes to traveling by bus, there are a variety of options available. From luxurious coaches to local city buses, each type offers a unique experience. Let’s take a closer look at the different types of buses and what sets them apart.

1.Luxury Coaches: These are perfect for long-distance journeys or tours. Equipped with comfortable seating, ample legroom, and onboard amenities such as Wi-Fi and entertainment systems, luxury coaches provide a first-class travel experience.

2.Double-Decker Buses: A common sight in many cities around the world, double-decker buses offer an excellent vantage point to enjoy the sights while exploring urban areas. They are spacious and can accommodate more passengers than conventional buses.

3.School Buses: Recognizable by their bright yellow color, school buses transport students to and from educational institutions safely every day. They prioritize safety features like sturdy construction and flashing lights that alert other drivers when children are boarding or alighting.

4.City Buses: The backbone of public transportation systems in many cities, these buses provide affordable transportation for daily commuters. With frequent stops along designated routes, they offer convenience for both residents and tourists alike.

5.Mini Buses: These smaller-sized vehicles are often used for shuttle services or group trips within a limited distance range. They provide flexibility in terms of scheduling and can be hired privately for various events or outings.

Each type of bus caters to different needs depending on the journey you have in mind—whether it’s comfort on long-haul trips or convenient city commuting options—there is always a suitable bus available.

Why Bus Jouney is the Best Choice

When it comes to traveling, there are various modes of transportation available. However, if you ask me, I firmly believe that bus journeys are the best choice. Why? Let me explain.

Convenience That is Hard to Match-

Buses offer a level of convenience that is hard to match. With numerous bus routes and schedules available, you can easily find a bus that suits your preferred departure time and destination. Unlike other modes of transportation like planes or trains, buses usually have several stops along the way, making it easier for passengers to reach their desired location without any hassle.

Cost-Effective-

Bus journeys are cost-effective. Compared to flights or train tickets which can be quite expensive, bus fares are generally more affordable. This makes them an excellent option for budget-conscious travelers who want to save some money without compromising on comfort.

Breathtaking Views of the Scenery-

Moreover, traveling by bus allows you to enjoy breathtaking views of the scenery along the route. Whether you’re passing through picturesque countryside or bustling cities, a journey by bus provides ample opportunities to admire the beauty around you.

Flexibility in Terms of Luggage Allowance –

Another advantage of choosing buses is the flexibility they offer in terms of luggage allowance. Unlike airlines with strict baggage restrictions or trains with limited storage space onboard, buses often have sufficient room for passengers’ belongings.

Eco-Friendly –

Furthermore, one cannot overlook how eco-friendly bus travel is compared to private vehicles or even airplanes. By opting for a journey by bus instead of driving alone in your car or taking multiple flights during your trip, you contribute significantly towards reducing carbon emissions and minimizing environmental impact.

My Personal Experience of a Journey

In my personal experience of a journey by bus recently from city A to city B,I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable it was. I had enough legroom, the seats were plush, and there was even free Wi-Fi onboard! The ride was smooth, and I got plenty of rest during the journey thanks to the relaxed atmosphere inside. The friendly driver also provided interesting information about landmarks we passed along the way.

My Personal Experience of a Journey by Bus

My Personal Experience of a Journey by Bus edumantra.net

The thrill of embarking on a journey by bus is something that cannot be easily replicated. The anticipation builds as you wait at the bus stop, wondering what lies ahead in your destination. As I boarded the bus, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and adventure. I settled into my seat, gazing out the window as the bus pulled away from the station. The scenery passing by was mesmerizing – rolling hills, lush green fields, and charming little towns. It felt like I was getting a glimpse into a different world. One thing that struck me about traveling by bus was how it allowed me to truly immerse myself in the journey. Unlike other modes of transportation where you are confined to your seat or cabin, on a bus you have the freedom to move around and explore. Whether it’s chatting with fellow passengers or simply stretching your legs during rest stops, there’s always something new to discover. I had engaging conversations with fellow travelers from all walks of life. We shared stories and laughed together, forming bonds that would last beyond our time on the road. As we reached our destination after hours on the road, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for choosing this mode of transport. The experience had been nothing short of incredible – filled with breathtaking vistas, new friendships forged along the way, and a deep appreciation for slow travel. In conclusion (Oops! Sorry!), my personal experience of a journey by bus has left an indelible mark on me. It has shown me that sometimes it’s not just about reaching your destination quickly; it’s about savoring the journey itself. So next time you plan a trip, consider hopping on

A journey by bus is truly an enriching experience that offers convenience, affordability, and a unique way to explore new places. Whether you are traveling short distances or embarking on long journeys, buses provide a comfortable and reliable mode of transportation. Not only do buses come in various types to cater to different needs, but they also offer numerous advantages over other forms of travel. From cost-effectiveness and reduced carbon footprint to the freedom to relax or engage with fellow travelers, there is no doubt that buses are the best choice for many individuals. A bus journey.

Journeys are fun, especially as nowadays there are so many ways to travel. To me, a bus journey provides the greatest fun.

You have to sit beside a passenger on a seat. As the bus is ready to leave, the driver blows his horn, indicating to the passengers to hurry up and get into the bus. Once everyone is seated, the bus begins to move.

Within seconds it gathers speed, and everything starts zooming past. Trees, people, shops, bazaars, animals—you have one glimpse of them, and off they disappear! One moment you are nearing a lake, and eagerly watching some people row, but soon you have left them far behind.

It is time for the tickets to be checked, and the conductor punches and checks all the tickets making sure that the passengers are sitting on their allotted seats only.

Deluxe buses are slightly expensive but have better comforts than other buses. Some video coaches show a film while travelling. There are all sorts of people who make up the world; some find travelling in a bus the best way to catch up on lost sleep. Lifelong friends have been made on these journeys, business deals have been discussed, and contacts have been cultivated—all on bus journeys. So don’t you agree with me that a bus journey-especially if it’s a long-distance one, can be great fun.

A Journey by Bus

It was a wintry morning. My parents and I boarded a bus at New Delhi. We wanted to attend a relative’s wedding at Chandigarh.

As we could not get all the seat side by side, we were sitting separately. The bus started at 10 o’clock.

After some time, I looked out of the bus. It had picked up speed. There was no stir in the air. The sun’s rays covered everything with brightness. As the bus passed different places, different scenes presented themselves to the eye. The sunlit ponds of water, the fields of yellow mustard, and the long stretches of tall and thick sugarcane were beautiful to look at.

As I was absorbed in these scenes, my attention was drawn by the passenger sitting next to me. He was just my age and wanted to borrow the magazine lying in my lap. I obliged him.

It was 12.15 p.m. We had reached Karnal, where the bus had to stop for about twenty minutes. I was feeling a bit hungry. Perhaps my parents guessed it. They bought a few oranges and bananas and shared them with me.

As some seats fell vacant here, we could sit together. We began to talk about family affairs. But after some time, I felt sleepy and soon fell asleep. It was at Ambala that my parents woke me up. There stood before me the boy who wanted to return my magazine. He had reached his destination.

The bus now moved out of Ambala. Nothing particular happened during the rest of the journey. We reached Chandigarh at 3.10 p.m. and were received by some relatives.

The journey was very pleasant. There were so many things which made it so. Among them were the fine weather, the courtesy of the conductor, and the careful driving by the driver.

A journey by bus presents an amalgamation of diverse experiences, a cocktail of emotions, and a unique perspective on the world around us. It is a microcosm of life itself, filled with unexpected turns, shared moments, and profound realizations.

The Embarkation

The journey begins at the bus station, a bustling hub of activity. The air is filled with the cacophony of announcements, the chatter of fellow passengers, and the hum of idling engines. The bus arrives, a mechanical beast that promises to take us to our destination. The queue moves slowly, each passenger climbing aboard, finding their seat, settling in for the journey. The air is thick with anticipation, a shared sense of adventure.

The Journey Unfolds

As the bus lurches forward, the journey truly begins. The cityscape gradually gives way to open countryside, the concrete jungle replaced by verdant fields. The bus trundles along, its rhythmic motion lulling some passengers to sleep, while others gaze out of the window, lost in their thoughts.

Conversations spring up, a shared camaraderie born out of the shared journey. Stories are exchanged, laughter rings out, and for a while, the bus becomes a moving community. The journey by bus offers a unique opportunity for social interaction, a chance to connect with strangers, if only for a few hours.

The Scenic Tapestry

The landscape outside the window is a constantly changing tapestry. The sun rising in the sky, casting long shadows across the fields, the sudden appearance of a herd of deer, the sight of a solitary farmhouse, all contribute to the visual feast. The journey becomes a sensory experience, the sights outside the window, the sounds within the bus, the feel of the seat beneath you, all combine to create a unique experience.

The Epiphany

A journey by bus is more than just a means of transportation. It is a journey of self-discovery, a chance to introspect. The changing landscape outside the window often mirrors the changing thoughts within us. The journey gives us time to reflect on our lives, our goals, and our dreams. The bus journey, in its essence, becomes a metaphor for the journey of life, filled with unexpected turns, shared moments, and profound realizations.

The Destination

Finally, the bus pulls into the destination station. The journey ends, but the memories linger. The shared camaraderie, the changing landscape, the introspective moments, all leave a lasting impression.

In conclusion, a journey by bus is not just about reaching a destination. It is about the experiences along the way, the people we meet, the sights we see, and the thoughts we have. It is a journey that offers a unique perspective on life and leaves us with memories that last a lifetime.

A Journey By Bus Essay 250 words

Many years ago, I used to travel by bus. Once I was traveling by bus from Delhi to Meerut. Then I had a very horrendous experience. Thereafter, we decided always to travel by our own car or by taxi and that is what we always did.

Last week, we had to go to Yamunanagar, and one of my father’s friends told him that by now the bus system had greatly improved for several reasons. Now, the journey had become faster and more comfortable.

For the sake of curiosity, if nothing else, we decided to go by bus. We boarded a Haryana Roadways bus bound to Chandigarh from where we decided to take another bus to Yamunanagar.

My father’s friend was right. The bus started on time and did not waste many minutes on the way.

Still, we felt certain boring things like the frequent visit of the hawkers, the excessively loud horns, drum piercing music, etc. We, however, thought that such things were tolerable if the bus did not go out of order on the way.

Fortunately, the bus continued moving fast towards its destination, picking up more passengers here and there and letting out those desiring to alight. The bus reached Chandigarh as per schedule. From then, we boarded a Haryana Roadways bus for Yamunanagar. We again had the same experience and some minor problems. We wish that the authorities should bring more reforms in the matter of bus travel to make the journey not only useful but also enjoyable.

Journey by Bus Essay

Essay on A Journey by Bus-1

Journey by Bus Essay – Normally, we most of the time believe that, as far as sightseeing is concerned, a journey by boat is the most pleasurable, because such a journey generally allows us to enjoy the natural scenery with ease of mind. But a journey is concerned more with feeling than with observation. And much can be enjoyed and felt when a sense of motion is combined with the process of observation and enjoyment. The dimension of motion, indeed, can add new elements of pleasure to a journey. Looked at from this angle of view, a journey by bus can be thought of as a source of immense pleasure and experience. And undoubtedly it is. Now I would like to give a specific account of such a journey I took several months ago.

It was the month of Agrahayan. We decided to go to my maternal uncle’s home at Bagerhat from Rupsha.

Instead of going there by train, as usual, we this time decided to enjoy a different experience of going there by bus. It will be a good journey, we thought and will be enjoyable, therefore. We bought four tickets for a luxury bus service. One morning my parents, my younger sister and I set out for the journey.

Don’t Forget to Check: Essay in English

Our bus started for Bagerhat at nine O’clock in the morning. It was a bright sunny morning. Our bus was running along the well-paved smooth road at an alarming speed.

Speed gives man a different type of pleasure—a mixed feeling of adventure, smoothness, tension, and briskness.

In the beginning, I was afraid suspecting any danger that might be caused by the horrible speed at which the bus was running. But after some time I was accustomed to it. Not only that, I must frankly say that the speed was giving me some amount of intoxication. I got a seat by the window. So I could easily see things on one side of the road. On each side of the road there were thousands of trees of various kinds so close to one another that their shadows covered the entire road. It seemed to me that all those trees, houses, fences and other things that stood on each side of the road were all moving backward. I could not look at anything for long. But that was no regret of mine . Taking a mere birds eye view of many things at a time, especially of natural scenery, gives much pleasure.

All the way I enjoyed my time. There was natural scenery; there was music as well as songs. All seemed very interesting to me because seldom had I taken such a journey before.

We reached our destination at 2 p.m. On reaching Bagerhat, I though I would find a seat by the window of the other side during our return journey.

Essay on A Journey by Bus-2

Topic: (Introduction, Occasion, and preparation, Description, Destination, Conclusion)

Many vehicles are the invention of modern science. The bus is one of the gifts of science. Nowadays, a bus journey is an enjoyable and comfortable experience. It is always a pleasure for human beings.

We live in the port city of Chittagong. Nowadays we feel bored in the noisy atmosphere of the town. We want to enjoy the pleasures for a while and we have decided to spend a weekend in a pleasant surrounding for a change. One of my friends proposed to us to go to Cox’s Bazar for the pleasure trip.

We four friends, with the permission of our guardians, booked ourselves for the trip. On the fixed day, we reached the bus terminal at 7 a.m. The bus would start there at 7.30 a.m. The passengers were limited. We got comfortable seats.

The time was the summer vacation. The weather of the day was suitable for our journey. The bus started punctually. We crossed the Shankha Bridge’. Then our bus began to run through rural areas. We enjoyed the charming scenery of the paddy fields in the country-side. The bus ran at a stretch without stopping for about two hours. Then it stopped at Amirabad. There was a restaurant by the wayside. We took some light tiffin and all the passengers also took their tiffin. Then the bus started again at full speed. Sometimes we had pleasant talks with our fellow passengers. There were several passengers of our age. They sat beside us. Some of the passengers were sleeping and some of them were busy reading newspapers or magazines. But the natural beauty was so attractive and charming that I could not turn (take) my eyes away from it.

At about 11.30 a.m. we reached our destination, Cox’s Bazar. The bus finally stopped. We got down from the bus. The Bay of Bengal and the beautiful sea-beach came into view.

Thus our journey by bus came to an end. To me, that journey is an unforgettable experience in my life. In fact, it was a pleasant and enjoyable journey for me. It will remain ever fresh in my memory.

Essay on A Journey by Bus-3

Introduction: Bus is a wonderful invention of science and technology. On many an occasion, I made a journey by bus. The journey I am going to describe is an exceptional one.

Occasion : I had no definite or particular occasion to make this journey. One day while I was amidst a gossiping with some of my friends, one of them put up the case of a divine Fakir named Azahar. He talked much about his miracles and fakirism on credit. I made up my mind to visit there. At an auspicious hour on Saturday, 2003 I went to Postagola Bridge over the Buriganga. The bus staff was shouting Fakir Bari. It was an Isapura bound bus. I got into it and somehow managed my seat by the window. I had never gone there through this route,

Description of the journey: With the signal, the bus started slowly, I kept casting my eyes at the things through the window. The zigzag road runs through the villages up to Isapura, my destination, and the bus ran along it at a speed of not less than 30 km per hour. The trees, houses, fields, markets and all seemed to be running backward. When the bus was on the bridge, the houses below it looked little. Many land vehicles were running along the rugged road from the opposite direction. The bus, where was loaded with mostly unknown passengers. The hawkers in the bus attracted the passengers’ attention towards their hawking goods. Some passengers bought goods from them. With a very dramatic art, each hawker appeared before the passengers. I could not help buying two pieces of chocolates. When the bus stopped at the stoppages, a few hawkers were hawking goods. They flattered many lady passengers with a dramatic shouting.

Scene outside the bus : I saw many things outside the bus. I saw men and women working together in the field. Children and young boys were seen bathing, swimming and playing hide and trick in the water. Cowboys were tending cattle. The day was sunny. The whole field was full of green grains. I saw a brick-field beside the road through which the bus was going/running. So far as I could collect data that all passengers would go to Isapura.

In the bus : The bus danced up and downplaying along the ragged and zigzag road. In the bus, some passengers were killing time in reading newspapers, magazines, and periodicals. Some passengers were gossiping, some were under the soporific influence, some were vomiting etc.

A heart-rending sight : Suddenly the bus stopped and the driver got down. To our surprise, we looked through the window. There was a small gathering of the crowd a little far ahead. I went there with some other passengers. I saw a capsized truck beside the road and à dead body lying mashed on the heap of blood. He was a van puller. The scene was very heart-rending. When our driver found a scope he drove the bus. The bus went on running towards its destination. The bus took a turn to the left. We saw a vast potato field around us. The green leaves of potatoes looked greener. It charmed us very much. The bus crossed the potato field and there was our destination.

Destination: W e also saw many patients on the way to Fakir Bari. When the bus stopped, we got down. And thus my bus. journey came to an end.

Conclusion: A journey by bus is both interesting and pleasing. It is not so costly. It is the speedy vehicle on the land. People can go to their goals so easily by bus. It is a blessing of science. However, the impact of the journey will remain ever fresh in my mind.

Starting a narrative with just a few lines on a journey by bus can vividly paint a picturesque scene in a reader’s mind. So, let’s illustrate one such journey concisely:

Every bus journey is an unfolding story, and mine was no different. It was a balmy afternoon when I boarded the bus from my hometown to a quaint village. The rhythmic hum of the bus, combined with the changing scenery outside, was hypnotic. With their bustling markets, the towns gave way to serene countryside vistas. Children chased after the bus, waving, and farmers were seen working diligently in their fields. At one point, the bus had to navigate through a narrow path with dense foliage on either side, the leaves almost brushing against the windows. It felt like passing through a green tunnel. This short journey became an unexpected retreat from the daily hustle, a refreshing reminder of our world’s diverse tales.

Everyone remembers their first time for many activities, and my first journey by bus was a memorable chapter in my book of life. Let’s delve into this short narrative.

Growing up in a small town, buses were a novelty for me. The first time I stepped onto one was with a heart full of excitement and a curious mind. I remember the rustling of tickets, the conductor’s call, and the hushed whispers of passengers. The engine roared to life, and with it began my adventure. The bus swerved through turns, showing me parts of my town I had never seen before. Children on the streets waved at us, and we passed many cyclists going about their day. The journey felt like a moving film, where every scene was intriguing. By the time the bus stopped at my stop, I had reached my destination and embarked on a new-found love for bus journeys.

Journeys  are often more about the experiences on the way than the destination itself. Here’s a long essay for students detailing the varied emotions, observations, and tales from a bus journey, broken down into specific segments for clarity.

Preparing for the Journey

Preparation is the first step to any successful endeavour. My journey by bus was scheduled for the early morning. I packed my bag the evening before, ensuring I had all the essentials—water, snacks, a notebook, and a pen. I also made sure to charge my phone and download a playlist to keep me entertained. There was palpable excitement and a hint of nervousness as I anticipated the journey ahead.

Boarding on Bus

The bus station was buzzing with activity. People were rushing, vendors were calling out, and buses were honking. Amidst the cacophony, I found my bus, painted in vibrant colours, standing tall and majestic. I handed my ticket to the conductor, who gestured towards my seat. I settled in, buckled up, and awaited the journey to begin.

The Scene Inside the Bus

The inside of the bus was a world in itself. Ahead of me sat an old couple, their heads buried in a shared newspaper. To my left, a young mother tried to soothe her crying child, and right across the aisle, a group of teenagers laughed and chatted animatedly. The air was filled with myriad conversations intermingled with the engine’s hum. The bus became a tapestry of diverse tales and experiences.

My Journey by Bus

As the bus rolled forward, the city’s bustling scenes began to fade, giving way to the serene landscapes of the countryside. From the window, I witnessed a tapestry of life: children chasing kites, farmers tending to their fields, and rivers flowing with grace.

Midway through our journey, the bus halted at a roadside eatery. The aroma of local cuisine filled the air, and passengers stretched their legs and enjoyed a brief respite. Over a shared meal with a fellow traveller, I learned about local traditions and stories of far-off places.

Resuming our journey, we approached a series of hills. The distant silhouette of the mountains, with the sun setting behind them, offered a tranquil view. Inside the bus, a sense of calm prevailed. Some passengers chatted softly, while others, lost in thought, looked out the window, taking in the enchanting sights.

The journey, with its blend of interactions and observations, left an indelible mark on my heart, making me appreciate the simple joys of  travel .

Reaching the Destination

Our bus arrived at the destined station as daylight began its graceful retreat, making way for twilight’s glow. The lively chatter that once filled the bus now quieted as passengers started to disembark, each carrying their unique memories from the journey. Stepping out, a wave of contentment enveloped me. The voyage was laden with precious moments and reflective thoughts despite the length and fatigue. It dawned on me that often, it’s not just the destination that matters but the many stories and experiences that come with the journey itself.

An essay on a bus journey is more than just a description of a travel experience. It’s a canvas where children paint their observations, emotions, and interactions. By penning down these moments, children cultivate descriptive skills, learn to value simple joys and develop a broader worldview. They get introduced to  the art of storytelling , where a bus becomes a microcosm of life, filled with diverse characters and tales. This essay teaches them to find wonder in everyday experiences and articulate their thoughts eloquently.

Journeys, mainly by bus, offer an immersive view of the world outside our windows. As we have journeyed through this essay, it’s evident that every bus ride is a blend of sights, sounds, and emotions. For children, writing about these experiences improves their descriptive abilities and enhances their perspective on life. When approached with curiosity and attention to detail, an essay on a simple bus journey can become a repository of cherished memories and invaluable learnings. Just as every destination has its charm, the journey towards it holds tales waiting to be told and lessons waiting to be learned.

A Journey By Bus Composition For Children

A journey by bus.

Last Monday I had to go Islamabad. I went to the busstand at 9 AM and bought a ticket. I sat in the bus and after about 10 minutes the bus was full. It started exactly 9. 15 AM. Soon after ten minutes the bus was out of Srinagar. It began to run through the open space. We enjoyed the fresh and cool air of the morning. The movement of the bus lulled some people to sleep. They began to doze.

After some time the bus reached Awantipora. It stopped there for about 5 minutes. Some of the passengers alighted while others sat in. It again left as usual. After about half an hour we reached Islamabad busstand.

The sight scenery visit gave me a delightful experience which I had not got prior to this. As the bus was moving the trees by the road side seemed to move in the opposite direction. The proverb “A thing of beauty is a joy forever” flashed past my mind. I felt as if I returned from a land of dreams. The bus journey was not a long one.

Essay On A Journey By Bus

Once I Had To Travel By Bus. My Friend’s Elder Brother Was Going To Get Married On 30 August 2015. He Had Invited Me To Attend The Wedding Celebrations.

On The 28th Morning, I Made For The Puri Bus Station To Board A Bus For Kendrapara . By The Time I Arrived There I Found That The Bus Was Full. Immediately I Booked A Ticket And Tried To Push In. Although I Was Sandwiched, I Managed To Sand Holding A Strip And Leaning Against A Seat.

There Were Still Some Way – Passengers Who Were Shouting For Tickets. In Pushes And Pulls At The Gate, The Cleaner Closed The Door And Whistled Aloud Signaling The Bus To Move. To My Good Luck, The Driver Started The Bus And It Slowly Moved Off To The Main Road.

As The Bus Picked Up Speed, The Cool Breeze Began To Rush In. The Discomfort And Sweating Caused By The Hot Sultry Weather Were Lessened. I Heaved A Sigh Of Relief.

Some Of The Passengers Who Had Occupied Seats Were Comfortably Taking A Glance At Newspaper Headlines. Some Began To Discuss The Day’s News. Some Began Discussing The Failures And Achievements Of The Government. A Passenger Close To Me Began To Smoke A Cigarette, Which Normally I Can’t Stand. But That Day I Had To Bear It Up, Although I Felt Like Suffocating.

Neither My Requests Nor Threats Had Any Effect On Him. The Bus Left Cuttack City And Passed The Bridge Across The Mahanadi. The Sight Of The Barrage, Railway Bridge, And The Vast Expanse Of Blue Water Offered An Enchanting View.

At The First Stop, Some People Got Off The Bus. But A Larger Number Crowded In. I Wished To Go Out To Ease Myself. But I Dared Not Do So. The Passage Was Completely Blocked. I Couldn’t Get Out. So I Reconciled Myself To My Fate.

After A Few Minutes Stop, The Bus Was On Move Again. Soon It Left Dhenkanal Town Behind And Started Moving At Top Speed. The Dense Forest On Either Side Was Enchantingly Beautiful. At Times It Passed Through Meadows And Over Hills. The Cowherd Boys Tending Cattle And Singing Songs Of Joy A Little Away From The Road Was A Sight Worth Enjoying.

The Bus Halted For About Five Minutes At Meramundali, A Few Minutes At Banarpal, And Then Came To Nalco Nagar. Here Most Of The Passengers Got Off.

In A Few Minutes, The Bus Reached The Angul Bus Station And Heaving A Sigh Of Relief I Got Off The Bus. I Was Glad To See My Friend Waiting For My Arrival.

Watching villages, cultures, and houses pass by as you speed across the countryside has always piqued my curiosity for better. It’s truly fascinating how a train journey can enhance your knowledge about cultures, regions, languages, and cuisines. The journey is like reading a captivating book that has all the ingredients to keep you entertained until you reach your destination.

One significant advantage of a journey by train is that it provides an excellent opportunity to interact with people from completely different ethnicities and linguistic backgrounds. Train journeys are super fun, especially when traveling by train with a group of friends. One of my most memorable journeys by train was my journey from Delhi to Jaipur. It was a school trip, and we were all really excited about it. We had numerous plans for the trip and were especially looking forward to having a great time on our way.

We all reached the railway station by 6 in the morning, and the train ride started within a few minutes. I occupied the window seat to see the view outside. The view of the green fields, muddy roads, and huts on the way was delightful. My best friend sat beside me, and we chatted as we looked outside.

Soon, it was time for breakfast. I loved the cutlets and bread served on the train. We also had hot tomato soup after having a plate of bread and cutlets. After breakfast, we all decided to play antakshari . Playing antakshari in large groups is always fun. Our teachers also joined us, thereby adding to the fun. We played antakshari for the rest of the journey, and before we even knew it, we had reached our destination. It was a great experience. The company of my friends made this train journey all the more gleeful.

Essay on ‘A Journey by Train to Shimla’ – Essay 3 (300 words)

Train journeys hold a unique charm, especially when they lead to enchanting destinations like Shimla. However, what makes the journey even more captivating is the special toy train that runs from Kalka to Shimla, winding through breathtaking landscapes. A trip to Shimla remains incomplete without experiencing this iconic train ride. Thus, we planned our Shimla trip well in advance and secured our tickets for this much-talked-about train journey.

Our Journey to Shimla by Toy Train

During last year’s autumn break, we embarked on a memorable journey to Shimla. We began our travel by bus to Kalka, the starting point of our adventure with the toy train. Initially, I expected it to be just another train journey, offering glimpses of mountains and valleys. However, it turned out to be an exhilarating and extraordinary experience. Throughout our journey, we found ourselves immersed in the lap of nature, not merely observing the mountains, valleys, and lush greenery, but feeling like an integral part of this natural wonder as the train gracefully traversed the mountains.

Spanning a duration of 5-6 hours, this journey was filled with thrills and excitement. The route featured a multitude of tunnels and bridges that added to the allure. There were more than 100 tunnels and approximately 800 bridges along the route. I remained glued to the window seat, relishing the splendid vistas outside. At one point, the train made a brief stop at a quaint station, affording us a brief ten-minute break to explore.

Throughout the journey, my parents and brother shared in my delight, finding it as enjoyable as I did. We chose the same train for our return journey, unwilling to miss out on a second opportunity to savor this captivating experience.

Undoubtedly, this train journey stands out as the most remarkable one in my life. My deep love for nature made this journey even more special. I sincerely hope for a chance to traverse this enchanting route once more, as it left an indelible mark on my heart.

Essay on ‘My First Train Journey’ – Essay4 (400 words)

My First Train Journey

My very first train journey was an unforgettable experience that I embarked on when I was in the 2nd standard. It was a special trip to attend my maternal aunt’s wedding in Dehradun. As soon as the news of the wedding spread, excitement and joy filled our home. My mother began planning her outfits, while my father organized our travel arrangements. We decided to travel by train, accompanied by a few relatives, marking my maiden voyage on a train.

Planning the Train Journey

Train journeys require meticulous planning for a smooth and enjoyable trip. My parents carefully studied the available trains on our route to select the most convenient option. We booked our tickets well in advance, packed our bags, and ensured that all necessary arrangements were in place for our journey.

The Journey Begins

Our train journey commenced as a night voyage. We arrived at the railway station on time, settled into our seats, and, within a few minutes, the train began its journey.

Fun on the Way

As we greeted our relatives and settled in for the long journey, there was an air of excitement. Many of us hadn’t seen each other in months, so there was plenty to catch up on. I sat with my cousins, and we eagerly planned to make the most of this train journey. They had brought along board games, and we engaged in an entertaining one.

After a few rounds of the game, it was time for dinner. The food served on the train was surprisingly delectable. Following dinner, I found a cozy spot by the window. Despite the darkness of the night, I enjoyed the rhythmic sounds of the moving train, a novel experience for me.

As everyone finished their meals, we decided to play antakshari . Our relatives enthusiastically joined in, and we sang songs and played antakshari for an hour before it was time to rest.

A Scenic Morning

The next morning, I awoke early and was greeted by a stunning view outside the window. The lush green fields, the rising sun, the distant hills, and the charming huts along the way — everything appeared exceptionally beautiful. This scenic morning view was the highlight of my train journey.

In hindsight, my first train journey was incredibly exciting and fascinating. I cherished every moment of it, and the delightful company of my cousins added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

Long Essay on Journey by Train

Essay on ‘a memorable journey by train’ – essay 4 (500 words).

Introduction

I have gone on many train journeys with my family as well as friends. Travelling by train is comfortable and enjoyable. I always prefer train journeys over road trips for the experience they offer. I have made great memories on these trips. While I have enjoyed all my train journeys, my train travel from Delhi to Goa is the closest to my heart.

Journey from Delhi to Goa

I went for a trip to Goa with my classmates when I was in seventh standard. The trip was planned by the school. After much persuasion, my parents agreed to send me on the trip. Most of my friends also got the consent from their parents. We planned to do a lot of fun things on the trip.

Besides, site-seeing and having fun with friends on the trip, I was also excited about the train journey. The train journey from Delhi to Goa was for around one and a half day. This was the longest journey I had ever gone on. I was really looking forward to it.

My parents dropped me to the station. They were a bit anxious as this was the first time I was travelling so far without them. My mother gave me last minute instructions and I nodded obediently as I eagerly awaited the train. We left from Delhi at around 5 in the evening. I sat by the window with one of my friends by my side.

Travelling with Friends

Travelling with friends is always fun. I had been to Jaipur, Nanital and Shimla with my friends. All these trips were planned by our school. We travelled by train on all these trips and had a lot of fun on the way but none of them involved so much travelling. Most of these were overnight journeys. But on our trip to Goa we spent one night and one and a half day in the train.

I kept sitting by the window for the first two-three hours of the journey. I loved the view outside. As it started getting dark, I joined my friends who were playing dumb charades. We kept playing this game until it was time for dinner. After having our dinner, we chatted until late night. We shared our experiences, narrated interesting stories and mimicked our teachers. It was all great fun. I slept comfortably at night and woke up late.

The breakfast was served almost immediately after I woke up. After having the breakfast, I went and stood by the train door which was half opened. The view outside was beautiful. I love nature and I can watch the trees, hills and the water bodies for hours. It soothes and pleases my senses and offers a delightful experience.

I kept standing there for a long time. One of my friends joined me there. We enjoyed the view and spoke about our love for travelling and nature. During the rest of the day, we played games, had food and chatted with each other. We reached Goa at around 11 at night.

This train journey was an awesome experience. I enjoyed it thoroughly and made several beautiful memories on the way.

Train journeys are economical, comfortable and fascinating. It is a complete experience in itself. While travelling by train, I am not eager to reach the destination, I rather enjoy each moment of the journey. I have made many friends during my train journeys and had several new experiences.

Advantages of Journey by Train

Train journeys offer numerous advantages. Some of these advantages are shared below:

  • One of the main advantages of train journey is the comfort and convenience it offers. Unlike cars, buses and aeroplanes, you have the option to lie down and sleep while travelling by train. Overnight journey by train is thus much more convenient compared to that by car or bus. One can sleep comfortably through the night and wake up fresh.
  • There is no restriction on the luggage. One can carry as much luggage as he wants while travelling via train unlike the aeroplanes where a limit is set for the same.
  • Trains have washrooms that make long journeys more convenient.
  • One can study or work comfortably on a laptop during train journey. Thus, the time spent in travelling can be put to productive use.
  • Trains are quite economical as compared to cabs and aeroplanes. One can travel long distance at a nominal cost.

Disadvantages of Journey by Train

While train journeys offer a number of advantages, there are certain disadvantages attached to them too. Here is a look at these disadvantages:

  • One of the biggest disadvantages of travelling by train is that one needs to plan the trip and get the tickets booked days before the journey. This is quite unlike travelling by car or bus wherein one can plan the trip and get going even the next day.
  • Booking the ticket can be quite taxing. People who go to the railway station to book the tickets need to stand in the queue for hours. Booking train tickets online is also quite time consuming as the railway booking site sometimes get quite slow due to increased traffic.
  • Though the trains have washrooms and restrooms, these are not as clean and hygienic as they should be.
  • Trains often get delayed due to different reasons. This can be quite annoying and exhausting.
  • Compared to aeroplanes, travel time taken by trains is much higher. It is not a good option for those who need to reach somewhere urgently.

My Train Journey Experience

I have been on many train journeys since my childhood. I have gone to Mount Abu, Udaipur, Varanasi, Shimla, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Bombay and many other places with family, friends and relatives. I have travelled to most of these places by train. What I love most about train journeys is the view outside. I love to sit by the window and watch the natural surroundings that come by during the journey. I often take a novel along as I love reading while travelling.

Train journeys become all the more fun when we are travelling in groups. There are so many fun things to do on the way. We crack jokes, sing songs, play games and chit chat for hours during the journey. We also get a chance to meet new people. It feels great when we meet like-minded people on our way. It makes the trip quite enjoyable. There is so much to talk about and share. I have made quite a few friends during my train journeys.

Train journeys have their set of advantages and disadvantages. While planning ahead, booking tickets and strict train schedules can be a put off; comfortable travel and good utilization of time are some of the advantages it offers.
