How to Loop Canva Presentation

Canva is a popular graphic design platform that makes it easy for anyone to create stunning designs. One lesser known feature is Canva’s ability to create looping presentations that continuously play, perfect for trade shows, lobbies, or any setting where you want your presentation to run on repeat.

Step 1: Create or Upload Your Presentation

First, you’ll need to build your presentation in Canva. You can start from scratch using one of Canva’s presentation templates or upload an existing PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation.

Step 2: Duplicate the Presentation

On the left sidebar, click the dropdown arrow next to your presentation name and select “Duplicate”. Give the duplicate presentation a name like “Looping Presentation”.

Step 3: Rearrange the Duplicate Slides

For example, if your original presentation had 5 slides ordered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, rearrange the duplicate so the slides are ordered 4, 5, 1, 2, 3. This will create a seamless transition when the presentation loops back to slide 1.

Step 4: Trim Slide Duration

Step 5: Enable Loop Setting

You can also enable autoplay if you want the presentation to start automatically. Autoplay is great for unattended displays.

Canva is a popular graphic design platform that allows users to create a variety of designs, including videos. Videos can be a powerful tool to engage and captivate your audience, but sometimes you want them to start playing automatically without the user having to click on the play button. This is where autoplay comes in.

In this article, we will explore how to set videos to autoplay in Canva. Autoplay allows your video to start playing automatically when someone opens your design, making it more likely that they will watch the entire video. We will provide step-by-step instructions on how to enable autoplay for your videos, as well as how to adjust the playback speed and loop your video to play continuously. By the end of this article, you will have the knowledge and skills to create engaging videos that start playing automatically in Canva.

Understanding the Autoplay Feature in Canva

What is autoplay.

Autoplay is a feature in Canva that enables videos to play automatically when a user opens a design. This feature is useful when you want to create an immersive experience for your audience. When a video starts playing automatically, it captures the user’s attention and encourages them to engage with the content.

Why Use Autoplay?

Autoplay is an effective way to increase engagement and drive conversions. By using autoplay, you can ensure that users see your video content without having to click on a play button. This can be especially useful when you are creating promotional videos or explainer videos that require the user’s attention.

However, it’s important to use autoplay responsibly. Some users may find autoplay videos annoying or intrusive, so it’s essential to provide users with the option to turn off autoplay if they prefer. Additionally, you should ensure that your video content is relevant and engaging to your audience to avoid turning them off.

In conclusion, the autoplay feature in Canva is a powerful tool that can help you create engaging video content. By using autoplay responsibly and providing users with the option to turn it off, you can ensure that your video content is effective and enjoyable for your audience.

Setting Videos to Autoplay in Canva

If you want to set your videos to autoplay in Canva, you can do so by following these simple steps.

Step 1: Select Your Video

First, open the video design file in Canva. Then, select the page thumbnail with the video that you want to autoplay. Once you have selected the video element in your design, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Adjust Video Settings

Next, you need to adjust the video settings. From the editor toolbar, select the “Playback” option. This will open up more settings in the top menu. Here, you can adjust the video speed slider or the textbox to adjust between the slowest (0.25x) and fastest speed (2x).

Step 3: Enable Autoplay

Finally, you can enable autoplay for your video. To do this, select the “Playback” button again. From there, you can toggle on the “Autoplay” option. This will make your video start playing automatically when someone views your design.

It’s important to note that autoplaying videos can be distracting for some users. So, it’s always a good idea to give users the option to play or pause the video themselves. You can do this by adding a play/pause button to your design.

In conclusion, setting videos to autoplay in Canva is a simple process that can be done in just a few steps. By following the steps outlined above, you can make your videos start playing automatically when someone views your design. However, it’s important to use autoplaying videos sparingly and give users the option to play or pause the video themselves.

Customizing Autoplay Settings

When creating videos in Canva, you can customize the autoplay settings to achieve the desired effect. Here are some ways to customize autoplay settings:

Looping Videos

Looping videos can be useful when you want to create a seamless playback experience. To loop a video in Canva, follow these steps:

  • Select the video element in your design.
  • From the editor toolbar, select Playback.
  • Toggle the Loop switch to the right to turn it on.

Muting Videos

Muting videos can be helpful when you want to add background music or voiceover to your video. To mute a video in Canva, follow these steps:

  • Toggle the Mute switch to the right to turn it on.

Adjusting Playback Speed

Adjusting the playback speed can be useful when you want to speed up or slow down a video. To adjust the playback speed in Canva, follow these steps:

  • Use the Video speed slider or the textbox to adjust between the slowest (0.25x) and fastest speed (2x).

By customizing autoplay settings, you can create videos that are engaging and effective. Whether you want to loop a video, mute it, or adjust the playback speed, Canva makes it easy to customize autoplay settings to achieve the desired effect.

Best Practices for Using Autoplay in Canva

Consider your audience.

When using autoplay in Canva, it is important to consider your audience. Think about who they are and what their preferences might be. For example, if your audience is primarily made up of busy professionals, they may prefer shorter videos that get straight to the point. On the other hand, if your audience is more casual, they may appreciate a longer video with more personality.

Use High-Quality Videos

When creating videos for autoplay in Canva, it is important to use high-quality footage. This not only makes your video look more professional, but it also ensures that your message is clear and easy to understand. If your video is blurry or pixelated, your audience may lose interest or miss important details.

Keep it Short and Sweet

Finally, it is important to keep your videos short and sweet when using autoplay in Canva. While there is no hard and fast rule for how long your video should be, it is generally a good idea to keep it under two minutes. This ensures that your audience stays engaged and doesn’t lose interest before the video is over.

In summary, when using autoplay in Canva, it is important to consider your audience, use high-quality videos, and keep it short and sweet. By following these best practices, you can create engaging videos that capture your audience’s attention and get your message across effectively.

How To Loop Video In Canva (Step By Step)

Below are the steps that you can follow to learn how to loop videos in Canva:

1. Open Video Design Type

Login or signup to Canva to get directed to your Canva dashboard. Then from the top right corner of the Canva homepage, click on the ‘ Create a Design’ button.

As a result of this, a menu of various design types will open in front of you like presentations, banners, documents, etc.

From the top search bar, search for the “ Video ” keyword, and then click on the “ Video” template to open a blank video Canvas.

2. Add a Video

Ok, so now you have your blank video template in front of you, it is time to add a video to your canvas.

If you want to add a Canva stock Video, then click on the ‘ Apps’ button from the left sidebar and then on the ‘Videos’ button.

As a result of which, you will get access to Canva’s premade library of stock videos.

You can either scroll down the options or use the search bar to search for your specific video.

For example, I wanted to add a travel video to my design.

So I searched for ‘Travel’ from the top search bar.

Once you find a video that you like the most, click on it to add it to your design.

Or if you want to upload your own video to Canva, then click on the ‘ Uploads’ button from the left sidebar and then on the ‘Upload Files’ button to select the file from your computer.

Once the video is uploaded, drag and drop it onto your blank canvas.

After adding a video to your design, you can also use the resizing handles to make the video smaller or larger in size.

To make the video larger in size, drag the corners of the boundary box away from the video and if you wish to make the video smaller in size then drag the corners closer to the video.

3. Loop The Video

After adding and resizing the video, it is time to learn how to loop the video in Canva.

There are two ways to loop a video in Canva. Let’s have a look at each of them below:

a) Loop Forever Option

Click on the video ones, as a result of which a top toolbar will appear in front of you.

Click on the ‘ Playback ’ button from the top toolbar and a new menu will open with various video playback settings.

From the video playback settings, click on the ‘ Loop Forever In Presentation’ button to play your video continuously on the loop.

b) Duplicate The Video

The second option is to duplicate the existing video to create a loop effect in Canva.

Click on the page from the bottom of the screen, as a result of which a ‘3 Dots’ icon will appear in the top right corner.

Click on the ‘ 3 Dots’ icon to open a new menu in front of you. From the new menu, click on the ‘Duplicate Page’ button.

Or simply use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + D. Now you will able to see two similar pages on the bottom of the screen.

Repeat the same process as many times as you want to create a perfect loop video.

4. Download Your Looped Video/Presentation

After creating a loop video, it is time to save your design to your computer.

Click on the ‘ Share button’ from the top right corner of the screen, and then on the ‘ Download ’ button.

Set your file type to ‘ MP4 Video’ from the download settings and then click on the ‘ Download ’ button again at the end to start the downloading process.

How Do I Loop a Video in Canva?

Last updated on November 19, 2022 @ 3:00 pm

There are many ways to loop a video in Canva. The most common method is to use the ‘Loop’ function in the ‘Video Settings’ tab. This will allow you to loop your video infinitely.

Another way to loop a video in Canva is to export your design as an MP4 file and then open the file in a video editing program like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. In these programs, you can add an ‘Infinite Loop’ effect to your video.

Finally, you can also loop a video by inserting it into a slide presentation program like PowerPoint or Keynote and then setting the presentation to loop continuously.

No matter which method you choose, looping a video in Canva is easy and only takes a few seconds. So if you need your video to play on a loop, don’t hesitate to give one of these methods a try!

How to create a video loop through Canva auto-play feature in a presentation

Canva is an excellent video editor that facilitates the production of professional-looking videos. Since it has such a basic user interface, even novices will have no trouble picking it up and running. A video can be made more interesting by looping it. Any video, whether it’s your own or one you find online, can have a looping effect applied to it. Making a video loop is a breeze.

The online tool Canva is fantastic for making unique promotional materials. In the same vein, it’s an excellent method for creating promotional videos for your business. By using Canva’s looping function, you can make your infographics more interesting and interactive.

Using this function, you can make your own loop, which will allow you to make an infographic that repeats in the same or different sizes.

Step #1: First, sign up for Canva and choose your video.

Enter your details in the appropriate fields and then select “Create a design” to begin working in Canva. Bring the video file into Canva. After creating a new project or opening an existing one, you’ll see the import button on the right side of the screen; click “Add Video” to begin adding footage. Your new video will be listed below your current assets.

click present in Canva

Step #3: Select “Start auto play” to have the video play indefinitely.

The location of the loop in your project can be adjusted in the new window that appears. The default is for it to begin playing at 0 seconds and end after 500 seconds, but you can change this if necessary.

Why you should try to loop a video in Canva

If you want your video to stand out from the crowd, try looping it. When a video is looped, the same segment keeps playing again and over, creating an eerie effect like to that of a vintage music box. Making a series of movies for a product launch, for instance, could benefit from the usage of loops to build up interest in the launch date.

Canva’s looping video creator is a useful tool for making commercials and social media posts that stand out. This is an excellent option if you need to incorporate video into your work but don’t have time to edit it.

Web material, music videos, promotional videos, social media postings, and more can all benefit from the use of looping video. They’re great for giving repetitive actions more flair or for highlighting key points in how-to videos.

Here are the three advantages of video looping in Canva:

  • Having material that can be seen repeatedly with no additional effort is a huge plus.
  • If people are compelled to do something after seeing even a small portion of your content, you’ve successfully attracted new viewers (like clicking on a button).
  • Movement in each frame makes the information more memorable than a still image or string of text, which leads to higher retention rates.

Video looping is an effective method of eliciting an emotional response from viewers. Researchers have found that more than 80% of internet users watch videos online for educational or informational purposes.

Since the widespread availability of electronic distractions, the human attention span has drastically decreased. The end result will look like live-action video editing.

Looping a video is a great way to make your content stand out from the competition. The looped video will repeat the same section of the video, which gives it an eerie feeling like an old-timely music box. For example, if you are creating a series of videos about a product launch, you could use loops to create anticipation for when the product will be available.

You can use this feature on Canva to create an eye-catching looped video that you can use in your social media posts and ads. It is great if you need to use a video in your project, but don't have time to do the editing. In this article, we'll walk you through how to Loop a video on Canva.

Why should we need the Loop video in Canva?

If you're looking for a way to make your video stand out from the crowd, then you've come to the right place! Here are three ways that you can use looping videos in Canva software to create a more compelling piece of content.

  • It adds more value to your content because viewers can watch it over and over again without having to do anything else.
  • It helps attract new viewers because they'll feel compelled to watch the whole thing or at least take action after watching part of it (like clicking on a button).
  • It increases retention rates because people will remember something much better than just a static image or text string because there's movement involved in each frame of the image.

Part 2: Alternative Way to Loop a Video

If you're using a video editing software like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, it is likely that you have seen the generic technique of looping a video is by splitting it in two and pasting it together again. What if you need to put on repeat just one individual cut? This is where Filmora steps in! It is a handy tool for trimming and adding clips into your recordings.

The Filmora software can be used to quickly create continual sequences of any duration, irrespective of how long the footage is. It makes possible to synchronize sound and video clips, splice them into one another, and even add titles and motion graphics for a special effect. If you utilize Filmora, you do not need to be an expert in video editing to make professional-looking results. Let us explore why Filmora is necessary for video editing.

Filmora is a video editing software that allows you to make professional-looking videos from your footage. It has a loop feature that lets you create seamless loops where each clip in the sequence plays over and over until you stop it. This can be useful for creating music videos, for example, or for creating small clips that loop seamlessly through the whole video.

The loop feature in Filmora software is a great way to put your video editing skills to the test. It allows you to edit a clip of any length and then play it back over and over again, which can be useful when you're looking for an ideal looping point or want to see how long a clip is before going back to find out why it didn't work.

Let's have a look that how can we loop the video on Filmora:

Step 1: Download Filmora for free and Create a project in it:

Download the Filmora software from any browser. After installation opens the software and clicks on create a project. Just add a video in your timeline that you would like to loop. With the Loop tool, you can easily add titles and credits, as well as transitions and effects to your videos.

How to loop music track in canva?

As the title suggests, i have a presentation of 130 slides, and i want only one music track with it to be repeated, so how can i loop it? I couldn’t find anything on canva to do this? And i have tried duplicating it but it was messy and and the music was overlapped?

Is there a solution to this? Or canva is still limited?
