SSR Formula Aero Mesh wheels are heat-treated for a second time after the wheels go through a spinning process during manufacturing. The heat application increases the wheel's strength. SSR wheels just released their design for a new 3-piece wheel, the Formula Aero Mesh . The design is similar to their formula mesh, except with more of a smooth center and colored accents. SSR posted a first look of the wheels on Instagram displaying some of the color combinations that will be offered.

The Formula Aero Mesh will be available in 16, 18, and 19 inch sizes, opening opportunities for a large variety of cars. The classic styling will look great for those rectangular 80s-90s cars, while still modern enough for the aggressive curves of many newer cars. SSR 3-Piece wheels are composed of an outer rim, and inner rim, and a cetner disc. The outer rim is welded to the inner rim and then the cetner disc is bolted to them, combining them together.

Heat Treatment Manufacture

The inner wheel barrel is heated a second time, increasing both lightness and strength. This makes the whee ideal for hard tuned race cars and heavier vehicles.
