Karachi is also most notoriously known as the “City of Lights,” Karachi is a bustling metropolis with a population of over 21 million people. The city households people of every ethnicity, religion, and race. This includes Balochies, Urdu speakers, Punjabis, etc.

Important in Pakistan’s Economy

Karachi plays a vital role in the economy of Pakistan, with a thriving port and a large industrial base. Karachi holds almost 200% of Pakistan’s GDP. Karachi partakes in 35% of the total earned revenue of Pakistan in the fiscal year of July 2021 to jun2022. The city is home to Pakistan’s stock exchange. Karachi also generates about 25% of the industrial output.

Rich culture

Karachi has a rich history and culture. Karachi has been habited for millennia now but with a different name. Karachi was previously known as ‘Kalachi’. Karachi has many historical landmarks and monuments. The most famous of these is the Mohatta Palace, a beautiful building that was built in the 1920s in the Art Deco style. The palace is now a museum and is open to the public. Another famous landmark is the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum, which is dedicated to the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The Problems

But of course, all that glitters is not gold. Karachi faces a lot of problems practically the highest in the whole country. This includes a lack of infrastructure and inadequate public transportation. Karachi is also the biggest hub of crime rates in Pakistan. This includes robbery, mobile snatching, kidnapping, etc.

The city is also suffering from some major issues such as pollution, water scarcity, and poor waste management. This makes life in Karachi extremely hard and unhealthy and even dangerous.

Karachi also serves as the graveyard for some of the worst times in Pakistan’s history. This includes bomb blasts, hijacking of airplanes, and other major terrorist attacks.

Countermeasures

The government of Pakistan has taken steps to address these issues and to improve the city’s infrastructure. New projects have been launched, such as the construction of a new airport and the expansion of the city’s metro system. The government of Pakistan has been trying constantly to install countermeasures to combat these issues but the unstable government and the changing of policies of the government of Pakistan have badly hurt the city of Karachi.

Pakistan ka sab se barha bandargahi shehar Karachi 1800 murabba kilo meter raqbe par phela hua Bahria Arab ke kinare waqeya hai. Is ki falak bos imarten sayyahon ki dilchaspi ka baiys hain. Shehar ki aabadi 2 crore se tajawuz kar chuki hai. Super highway ke zariye ye Hyderabad aur RCD Shahrae ke zariye Quetta se marboot hai. Intezami aitebar se shehar ko panch zilon Mashraqi, Wasti, Junubi, Ghurubi aur Maleer mein taqseem kiya gaya hai.

Zamana-e-qadeem mein ye Kolachi Jo Goth ke naam se mashoor tha. Zamane ki rawish ne ise Karachi bana diya. 1947 mein Hazrat Quaid-e-Azam ne ise Pakistan ka sadar moqam qarar diya. 1959 mein sabiq sadar Field Marshall Muhammed Ayub Khan ne darul hukoomat Karachi ke bajae Islamabad muntaqil kar diya.

QABIL-E-DEED MAQAMAT

(TOMB OF QUAID-E-AZAM):

Quaid-e-Azam ka mazar M.A.Jinnah road par waqeya hai. Yeh jadeed tarz ka hai. Sang-e-mar mar se tameer kiye gaey is mazar ke gunmbad ke gird sang-e-mar mar ka farsh bhi hai jo zameen se khasi bulandi par hai. Mazar ka design Yahya Merchant ne tayyar kiya. Mazar ke andar humsaya mulk China ka tohfa fanoos ki shakal mein aawezaan hai. Mazar ke aahatey ke andar tehreek-e-Pakistan ke rehnumaon Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan ki qabrein bhi hain. Bagh-e-Jinnah 2002 mein banaya gaya, is ka iftetah sabiq Sadar-e-Pakistan General Parvez Musharraf ne kiya tha.

MOSQUE OF DEFENCE SOCIETY:

Ise Masjid-e-Tooba bhi kehte hain. Is ka shumar Pakistan ki khobsurat Masajid mein hota hai. Is ka gunmbad 212 ft qatar mein hai.

BUILDING OF HABIB BANK PLAZA:

Is ka shumar Karachi ki buland tareen imarton mein kiya jata hai. 23 manzila ye imarat 99 meter 324 ft buland hai. Yeh Karachi ke waqar ki sarbulandi ki alamat khayal ki jati hai. Royat-e-hilal ke arkaan Chand dekhne is ki chat par chalen jate hain. Aur bhi deegar imarten hain, Civic Centre, Impress Market ki imarat, New Memon Masjid, Manorha ka Light House, ye 148 ft buland hai aur yeh Karachi ki bandargaah mein dakhil hone wale jahazon ko roshni faraham karta hai.

M.A.Jinnah Road, Shahrae Faisal, Shahrae Liaquat, I.I.Chundrigar Road, Nashtar Road, S.M.Taufeeq Road aur Shahrae Pakistan shamil hain.

CANTONMENT RAILWAY STATION:

Karachi bazarya Railway line mulk bhar se marboot hai. Shehar mein do barhe stations hain. Yeh dono barhe railway stations shehar ke junubi hisse mein aik dosre se taqreeban 1.5 meel ki doori par hain. Androon-e-shehar circular railway line bhi hai jis par 29 railway stations hain.

Jinnah International Airport bohut barha ben ul aqwami hawai adda hai. Yahan se aap dunya ke kisi bhi maqam par ja sakte hain.

Androon-e-shehar safar ke liye senkron Buses, Mini Buses, Taxiyan, Auto Rikshaw aur Private Garhiyan, Motor Cycles bhi istemaal ki jati hain.

PLAY GROUNDS:

Karachi ke nau jawan larkon ko Cricket, Hockey, Squash, Football, Volley ball, Snooker aur Dabbo ( Carom ki tarha ka aik khel ) se barhi dilchaspi hai. Khel ke maidanon mein National Stadium, Hockey Stadium, P.I.A Squash Complex, K.M.C Sports Complex, Bakhtiyari Youth Center aur K.M.C Stadium waghera Laiq-e-zikar hain.

ENJOYMENT PLACE:

Clifton, Sandspit, Hawksbay, Manorha aeham tafreegahen hain. Clifton mein bachey Camel ( Oont ) ki sawari se barhe lutf andoz hote hain. Hill Park P.E.C.H.S ke ilaqey mein waqeya is paharhi ke oper se pore Karachi shehar ka nazara kiya ja sakta hai. Deegar Parkon mein Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Park, safari Park bhi laiq-e-zikar hain. Karachi mein aik Zoo bhi hai, jo ke Garden Road par waqeya hai, yahan dunya bhar ke janwar rakhe gae hain. Bachon ke liye Elephant ( Hathi ) ki sawari ka intezaam bhi maujood hai.

INDUSTRIAL AREA:

Sanati lihaz se barha taraqqi yafta shehar hai, yahan do barhe sanati marakiz qaiym hain, jin mein Site Area aur dosra Korangi Shamil hai. Is ke ilawa Federal B.Area aur New Karachi mein bhi sanati ilaqe qaiym hain. Aeham sanaton mein Sabunsazi ( Soap ), Banaspati Ghee, Kaprha, Cheeni ke bartan, Pankhe, Bijli Ka Saman, Adwiyat, Garhiyan aur Oil saaf karne ki sanaten shamil hain.

My name is Jiah khan. I am the resident of the beautiful city of Pakistan called Karachi. I have been born and brought up in this city. My parents were also born in the same city. Karachi is the capital city of Sindh province.

It is known as the “City of Lights”. It is the largest city of Pakistan. It is also called the financial capital and the main seaport of the country.

Karachi is a highly populated city of Pakistan with approximately 18.5 million people. It is also the city with largest population in the world.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

In the year 2006 Karachi is declared as the thirteenth largest urban agglomeration. It is also seen as the world’s fourth largest metropolitan area. Karachi is the second largest city which is organized by the Islamic Conference.

Karachi is commonly known as “The bride of cities” because of its energy. Karachi is the city of “Quaid” because the birth & the burial of (Muhammad Ali Jinnah) Quaid-E-Azam who was the founder of the country. Karachi is the life of Pakistan as it is the country’s premier centre of trade, industry & banking.

It is a house of largest corporations which includes all those involved in shipping, entertainment, arts, advertising, fashion, textiles, publishing, medical research, textiles and software development. Karachi is a hub for higher education in wider Islamic world & the southern part of Asia. Overall the city is considered as a Beta world city. Due to its location the city also enjoys its prominent position on a Bay.

Globally Karachi is the fastest growing city. After Pakistan got its independence Karachi’s population dramatically increased because thousands of Urdu Muhajirs or migrants from India (East Pakistan- later known as Bangladesh) migrated towards Pakistan & settled down in the city. In terms of area Karachi spreads over a vast area of about 3,530 km per square which is almost 5 times more than Singapore.

On an average the total population count of Karachi is 80, 00,000. The literacy rate of Karachi is very high as compared to other cities in the country. The graves of Miss Fatima Jinnah & Shaheed-e-Millat Laiquat Ali Khan are located in the city.

Karachi is also known for it is international airport. The city has a moderate climate throughout the year. The city is blessed with so many beautiful attractions worth seeing. Some of them are the Zoo, Sands Pit, Frere Hall, M.A.Jinnah Road, Clifton, Zaib Un Nisa Street, Manora, Hawks Bay and Frere Hall.
