The Winter Holiday event in Pokemon GO is a celebration of everything festive and Ice-type. Therefore, it’s no surprise to see a number of new Field Research Tasks for the event, with the rewards being Ice-type or costumed Pokemon!

Spinning a PokeStop or Gym Photo Disc from 10 AM local time on December 18 to 10 AM local time on December 25 could give you a festive Winter holiday-themed Field Research Task in Pokemon GO.

These are the 7 limited-time Field Research Tasks available in Part 1 of the 2023 Winter Holiday event :

While the Pokemon encounters from these Field Research Tasks are great, the Mega Energy is even more valuable!

Pokemon GO 2023 Winter Holiday Part 1

All of these Field Research Tasks will be available until 10 AM local time on December 25. Then, a new selection of Tasks will rotate in for Part 2 of the event!

Screen Rant

Pokémon go: all field research tasks & rewards (winter holiday).

The Winter Holiday event Field Research Tasks for Pokémon GO are not too different from regular Field Research, but reward rare event-themed Pokémon.

The winter holidays have returned to Pokémon GO with a number of special Field Research tasks for players to complete. There are always plenty of rewards and goodies for players to earn during these events, but of particular interest are the special event Pokémon. While the player can try to encounter them in the wild, the special Field Research tasks, once completed, give the player a guaranteed encounter with one of several of them.

There's usually nothing too complex about Pokémon GO's Field Researches on their own, and the same is true for the Winter Holiday event. Like usual, Field Rearch Tasks are acquired by walking up to Pokéstops and giving them a spin for rewards, and can be collected by a player over and over again. The tasks all involve Pokémon GO's core gameplay mechanics - such as winning raids, hatching eggs, and catching Pokémon, so they're easy to complete as well.

Related: Pokémon GO: How to Catch Ditto (December 2022)

Pokémon GO's Winter Holiday Field Research Tasks

As all these tasks are part of the core gameplay for Pokémon GO , completing them is straightforward and relatively simple. Catching Pokémon just requires throwing Poké Balls at them and using berries to help the process. Gifts are simple things for players to send to friends, and if a player is without friends, it's not too hard to make some.

Pokémon GO Raids happen when Gyms are occupied by large eggs that hatch into tough and powerful Pokémon, and should be clearly visible on the player's map. On using a Raid Pass, up to 20 different trainers can join in a single raid to try and battle down the boss's health. Doing so rewards them with a chance at capturing the boss. Finally, eggs can be hatched by just walking around the neighborhood while Pokémon GO is running.

Indeed, fans should decide which of the bonuses is most appealing to them and then pick the associated path.
