Best Things About the School Life for Students

School Life is the best time of our life as we make new friends, learn new things and build our career there. School time is the only time which we enjoy most, and when we enter college, we always miss our school life. School life teaches us lots of new things and prepares us to face all the challenges of life. I love my school life and really enjoy it. I have lots of friends, and all my teachers love me. I love my school and enjoy going there every day to meet my friends and learn new things.

Everyone keeps on saying that school life is the best time of your life. When listening to these phrases from their elders, the school students think about what is good about this life. All we do in the entire day is to attend the classes and to do the homework. But once school life gets over, the students realise that school life was the best time of their life.

Apart from learning great things in school, you make new friends, play different sports and create memories for the rest of your life. The students also learn many life skills like teamwork, good manners, etc., and understand what they want to become in their life.

About My School and School Life

I study in the reputed private school in my city, and I am glad to be a student of this school. My school is one of the most renowned schools in my town. It is very beautiful and huge. My school has all the facilities for sports, study and other activities. Built-in a three-storey building, it is a Co-Ed and Senior Secondary School having Science, Arts and Commerce stream. The atmosphere at my school is delightful. We have a huge playing ground where we all students play different games like Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, etc. We have a separate Basketball and Tennis court, as well as a small and beautiful garden for kids.

The students practice these sports every day. The school also has a big swimming pool and sports area for indoor games. In this area, the students can play Table Tennis and Chess. There is also a big skating rink. Different physical training teachers train us for all these sports. These sports not only keep us fit but also increase our stamina and coordination.

School life is not just limited to studies and sports. There are also other activity rooms such as the music room, art room, and dance room. The Art room is a big hall with lots of colourful charts and various types of paints. The students can portray their imagination and can create beautiful art here. Dance and music are also very important in school life as they help the students express themselves in a new manner. The different movements in dance help the students in unwinding themselves.

My school has a big library where we all read different kinds of books, novels and comics. Apart from the library, my school has well-equipped scientific labs where we all practise various experiments of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I have learned a lot of things in these labs. My school also has a big computer lab with trained technical staff that help us to learn everything about computers. I love playing on the computer and learning new things in the computer lab. In the computer lab, the students learn about using MS Word and PowerPoint. The computer lab is also called the ICT lab. The ICT teacher teaches the students about the internet and how to use it safely.

All the staff at my school are very polite, educated and experienced. Our teachers not only teach us but also prepare us for various competitions, and every year, my school wins many prizes in various competitions. I have even represented my school in a hockey championship and scored the second position.

The classrooms are big and decorated beautifully with different artwork done by the students. Various projects and models are kept in the classroom for the students to keep on revising their concepts. The teachers use smartboards, and every day a new word is taught to enhance the students’ vocabulary. Every day one student presents the ‘Thought for the Day’. These positive thoughts keep us motivated.

All the teachers at my school are very dedicated and punctual. They always teach us discipline and ask us to come to school on time. Our teachers love us, and they teach us in a very simple and easy way. Whenever we fail to understand anything, they try to make us understand it again without shouting at us. They give equal attention to all the students, and that is why my school has an excellent academic record.

The teachers are well qualified. They use different techniques to teach us the concepts. The atmosphere in the school is fun-filled and fruitful at the same time. The school’s entire staff, from the security guard to the teachers, is very helpful and polite.

We learn many life skills also in school. Discipline, hard work, and punctuality are some of them. During sports classes, we learn teamwork and work together to win.

The best part of my school is its auditorium where all the school events and competitions take place. Our school auditorium is one of the best auditoriums in the town with a great sound and light facility. It is fully air-conditioned with lots of seats. Every year, my school organises an annual cultural festival which lasts for two days. Many cultural events take place within these two days like singing, dancing, debate competition, etc. I love to participate in a poem writing competition every year, and many times I have won prizes as well. Every year, the toppers of our school get awarded on this annual cultural day and we all students love to participate in various events of the annual cultural day.

We also have school assemblies in our Auditorium. Sometimes the students from other schools come and participate in the different competitions organised in our schools. These events are called inter-school competitions. These events are very good as we get to learn new things from other students and make many new friends.

Apart from the annual cultural day, my school is famous for organising one of the biggest annual sports meets. I love this annual sports meet because sports are my favourite. In this annual sports meet, various sports competitions are organised, and almost 50 schools participate in these competitions and win multiple titles. Me, my friends, and our seniors also participate in these competitions and make our school proud by winning in them. My school has great teachers, excellent faculty and all the facilities that one student needs to excel in his/her life.

The biggest reason behind the success and fame of my school is our Principal Sir. He is 50 years old, yet very active and disciplined. He has an attractive personality, and his knowledge is commendable. He loves all the students and always spare some time from his busy schedule to monitor the progress of all the students. I admire his personality and principles. He always encourages us to take part in various extracurricular activities, and it is the result of his support & dedication that the students of my school always perform better in all the competitions. We all are fortunate to have him as our Principal.

Principal sir awards the students who participate and win in different cultural and sports events. He has a good memory and remembers the name of every child. The students feel proud when Principal sir calls them by their names.

After each term, assessments are also being conducted in the school. The teachers prepare us for these assessments, and the results are also shared with the parents. The assessment is a good system as students understand the learning gaps and can work on them. The teachers are very helpful as they assist the students wherever it is required.

I love my school and my school life. Every day I learn new things here and enjoy it with my friends. All my teachers love me and always support me. I have learned discipline and punctuality from my teachers, and it will help me a lot in my future. I am proud to be a student at this school, and I will always miss my school after leaving it. My school life has taught me many things and given me some best friends who will be my friends forever. I wish all the success to my school and love everything about my school life.

The different experiences which the students get in school life help them to become better human beings. When they leave school, they are not just taking the memories with them, but they take many friends, a career and good manners for life. It is the first place where the students come out of their family circles and create a new one with their teachers and friends.

One should also remember that everyone is not privileged enough to get an education. If one gets this opportunity, then be grateful and work towards being a better human being. Cherish your school life and stay motivated.

Essay – Visit to a Historical Place

During the summer vacation, our Historical Society arranged a visit to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. A tourist bus was got reserved. We had a safe and comfortable journey to Agra. It was the full moon night when we reached there.

The Taj is a magnificent building, made of white marble. It is situated on the bank of the river Yamuna. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Twenty thousand labourers worked for twenty two years to build it. The main gateway to the Taj is a three-storeyed building. It stands on a platform of red stone.

From there a causeway leads to the monument. The cause way has a water channel, with fountains in the middle and a double row of cypress trees on either side. There is a big white dome in the middle with four stately minarets on its four sides. Verses from holy Quran are graved on walls. Visitors come to see the Taj and read from every stone the story of the true love of the Queen and the Emperor. The beautiful building is surrounded by a garden.

The Taj looks beautiful at any time, but at night it is no doubt, a sight to see. It glitters in the moonlight and looks like a palace of silver. The Taj is, indeed, the loveliest work of art in the whole world. It is a poem is stone. It in one of the seven wonders of the world.

Essay – A Bus Stand Scene

A bus stand presents a very lovely and busy scene. It is like a museum of human faces and fashion. Last Sunday, I went to see off my friend at the bus stand. There was a great rush. Buses were arriving and departing.

The bus for Delhi had not yet arrived. So we had to wait. There was a great rush of passengers. They were waiting for their buses. There was a lot of rushing, pushing shouting and wrangling every where. The ladies were sitting in groups. Children were playing here and there. Vendors and hawkers were selling newspapers and eatables. They were also shouting at the top of their voices. There was a rush at the water tap, tea stalls and book stalls. We went to a tea stall. We took tea.

We bought two books to pass time. There were long queues at the booking windows. Soon our bus arrived. I bought a ticket for my friend. He boarded the bus and got a seat near the window. The driver took his seat. The conductor gave a whistle and the bus started. I wished good-bye to my friend.

Television is a device with a small screen. It shows programmes that are relayed by T.V. Stations or satellites. Television is a wonderful gift of science to man. It has become very common these days. It is the greatest wonder of science. It gives us sound as well as picture. It provides us entertainment in the comfortable surroundings of our house. We can see T.V. serials, pictures, tele-films, film songs and other entertaining programmes on television.

Apart from entertainment, television is a source of knowledge also.We can know the latest news of India and other countries. Lovers of games can watch games being played. Often there is direct telecast of some games. But television has its some disadvantages also. It has a bad effect on the eyes of children. It is playing havoc with the younger generation. They become addicted to T.V. Excess of every thing is bad. So some people call it an idiot box also.

Paragraph Writing for Class 6: Topics with Answers

school essay class 6

Explore the art of paragraph writing for Class 6 with engaging topics and detailed answers. Enhance your writing skills, learn the structure, and express your thoughts effectively.

Introduction

In the journey of language development, paragraph writing is a crucial milestone. For Class 6 students, learning to write coherent and impactful paragraphs sets the foundation for effective communication.

This article dives into the world of paragraph writing, focusing on Class 6 topics with answers. We will uncover the essentials, structure, and techniques required to compose impressive paragraphs that convey ideas with clarity.

Understanding the structure and approach to paragraph writing is the first step towards proficiency. Here, we’ll explore various topics and provide insightful answers to help students grasp the art of composition.

What is a Paragraph?

A paragraph is a collection of related sentences that express a single idea or theme. It serves as a building block for larger pieces of writing, such as essays or reports. A well-structured paragraph contains a topic sentence, supporting details, and a concluding sentence.

The Power of a Strong Topic Sentence

A topic sentence is the heart of a paragraph. It introduces the main idea and sets the tone for what follows. For instance, when writing about “My Favorite Hobby,” a strong topic sentence could be: “Gardening has become my most cherished pastime due to its therapeutic effects and the joy of watching plants flourish.”

Supporting Details: Adding Depth and Context

Supporting details provide depth to your paragraph by offering specific examples, facts, or anecdotes. If the topic sentence is about gardening, supporting details might include the types of plants you cultivate, the tools you use, and the satisfaction of seeing your garden thrive.

Transition Words: Creating Smooth Flow

Transition words and phrases, like “firstly,” “in addition,” and “finally,” help maintain the flow of your paragraph. They connect ideas and guide the reader through your thoughts seamlessly.

Concluding Sentence: Wrapping Up with Impact

A concluding sentence summarizes the main points and leaves a lasting impression. It should tie back to the topic sentence and provide a sense of closure. For instance, if the paragraph is about your favourite hobby, the concluding sentence might express your enthusiasm for spending time in the garden.

Essay my first day at school for class 6

Essay my first day at school for class 6, essay my first day at school for class 6 .

The first day at school will always remain a beautiful memory for me. I wore a new uniform. I was feeling very proud and grown up. Everything felt strange. I did not know where to go. I held tightly to my mother’s finger. Soon our teacher came to me. She looked with a pleasant smile. Then she talked to my mother like a friend. She made us feel at ease. In the classroom, there were many children of my age. They were all dressed like me. Students were playing and shouting when the teacher entered. They became silent and looked at me. The teacher said, “Hello! students here is a new friend join you.’’

The teacher went to her desk. She open the lid, took out a packet, and gave me a toffee. I accepted it with hesitation. I was looking at my mother, outside the room. The teacher treated me very kindly. She said Khuda Hafiz and left. I again left lonely and began to cry. The teacher talked to me very politely, wiped away my tears, and called a couple of boys to play with me. Soon I made friends with them and also with some others. The school now seemed to be totally different from what I had expected. I chatted and played with my friends, instead of having to study all day long.  After a few days, everything would change and we would have to study all day long. Published on 10/07/2023.

Yale Class of 1963 - 50th Reunion New Haven, CT    May 30-June 2, 2013

Personal Essay

Immediately following graduation from Yale, I went to law school.  I spent one year as a law clerk in the Federal Court of Appeals in New York, and then went to work for the firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where I have been ever since.  I have learned a great deal from my clients and from the talented lawyers I have worked with and against.  However, all good things eventually come to an end, and on March 31, 2013, having reached our firm’s mandatory retirement age of 70, I am scheduled to retire from active practice. My first marriage, to Catherine Tolstoy Arapoff, an artist, ended in divorce in 1985.  We have two children, Andrew (a litigation lawyer in Los Angeles) and Cathie (a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School).  Andy’s two children, Elizabeth and Jack, are as yet my only grandchildren. In 1986 I married Marcia Mayo Hill, an interpreter at the United Nations, whose principal career since her retirement in 2004 has been as a master swimmer, swimming competitively at both regional and national levels.  All of you who have seen us together know how much I owe to Marcia, who has made my life anything but ordinary.  We have four children, Frank (a second-year medical student), Guy Jr. (a graduate of SUNY Albany), Beverly (who died at the age of one year following a failed heart operation, and whom we remember constantly), and Elena (whom we adopted in Moscow following Beverly’s death). I am very much in the market for good ideas about what to do in retirement.  For the time being, my principal idea is to go back to what I have always loved to do, namely, learn new things.  Starting the day after retirement, I intend to take the set of textbooks on Anglo-Saxon that my father bought many years ago, and start learning the language. This essay would be incomplete without mentioning how much I have learned from reunions and other activities of our Class over the years.  Perhaps the most educational thing about Yale for me has been the journey we have all taken together since graduation.  I look forward to continuing that journey at our 50th Reunion. The following story will illustrate what I mean.  Ian Robertson is a very good friend, and a stalwart of our 50th Reunion effort.  Our paths did not cross in college.  Recently Ian told me that, during our freshman year, he saw me waiting in line for dinner in Commons, and felt very sorry for me.  As soon as Ian said that, I saw myself then as Ian saw me, an awkward, clueless 16-year-old, and for a moment I felt sorry for myself too.  Then I remembered that the story does not end there, that Ian and I have since gotten to know each other, and that now, half a century later, he and I are fast friends.  That would never have happened but for our continuing involvement with the Class.

However, this May, all three graduated from College. Ravi has a job in management training position with Enterprise in Richland, WA. Alisha is now working as a nurse in Pueblo, CO and Ty is working on getting his Master's degree in Psychology so he can be a school counselor. My daughter and her husband have been transferred to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO after 8 war zone deployments in his career. He is now a Master Sgt. Our oldest son, Frank, received his Masters degree a year ago and was transferred to the Bellevue Group Health office as a Clinical Systems Consultant.

Chuck and I are in the process of cleaning out the "nest" witch will be sold within the year. We will downsize to an apt. in Moscow but will keep the ski house as well. It has (so far) been a year of new beginnings and, to celebrate, we plan to take a cruise to AK next month just to see how retirees should live. Life is good.

It is our hop that the birds will fly on their own now and we can reinvent ourselves with newfound freedoms. And, from the look of it, we could keep busy just visiting kids, as spread out as they are. BUT, for their sakes, I hope we find other outlets for what energy we have left.

Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion next summer.

I am living in Moscow, Idaho - married to Charles Hatch who is currently vice-president of research at the University.  We have four children, including a son who is stationed in Germany with the Air Force and a daughter who is married to a sgt. in the Army and also stationed in Germany.  I see a trip to Europe in my future this year!

I worked for the University until Chuck and I were married in l983.  We lived in India and Pakistan for 9 years, returning to the states for the last time in l994 - where, I might add, I intend to stay. :)  I am a homemaker and enjoying the newfound freedom of kids who are on their own or in College.  Life has been an adventure but, now that the kids are more independent, we hope for retirement in a couple years and a chance to travel for fun.

I look forward to seeing you all again this summer.
