Cheppalani undhi movie review: 'చెప్పాలని ఉంది' మూవీ రివ్యూ.

అసలు కథేంటంటే..  ఈ సినిమాలో హీరో యశ్ పూరి(చందు) ఓ టీవీ ఛానెల్‌లో రిపోర్టర్‌గా పనిచేస్తుంటాడు. మాతృభాష అంటే చిన్నప్పటి నుంచి హీరోకు విపరీతమైన అభిమానం. కుటుంబం కోసం రిపోర్టింగ్‌తో పాటు బైక్‌ ట్యాక్సీ నడుపుతుంటాడు. అదే సమయంలో స్టెఫీ పటేల్(వెన్నెల) పరిచయమవుతుంది. హీరో ఆటిట్యూడ్ నచ్చి అతనితో ప్రేమలో పడుతుంది. ఓ రోజు చందు బైక్‌పై వెళ్తుంటే  యాక్సిడెంట్‌కు గురవుతారు. అక్కడి నుంచే అసలు కథ మొదలవుతుంది. ఆ తర్వాత జరిగిన పరిణామాలు ఏంటి? చివరికి ఈ కథలో హీరో తన ప్రేమను గెలిచారా? యాక్సిడెంట్ తర్వాత కథ ఎలాంటి మలుపులు చోటు చేసుకున్నాయి. మాతృభాష విషయంలో డైరెక్టర్ చేసిన ప్రయత్నం ఫలించిందా? అన్నది సినిమాలో చూడాల్సిందే.  

ఎలా ఉందంటే...

సినిమా ప్రారంభం నుంచి హీరో యశ్ పూరి(చందు) పనిచేసే టీవీ ఛానెల్ చుట్టే తిరుగుతుంది. టీఆర్పీ రేటింగ్‌ కోసం వాళ్లు పడే కష్టాలను సినిమాలో చూపించారు. ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్‌లో పృథ్వీ, సత్య మధ్య కామెడీ సన్నివేశాలు ప్రేక్షకులను అలరిస్తాయి. రిపోర్టింగ్‌ చేస్తూనే ఇంటి నుంచి తప్పిపోయిన చిన్న పిల్లలను సేవ్ చేయడం, అదే సమయంలో హీరోకు స్టేఫీ పటేల్ (వెన్నెల)తో పరిచయం తర్వాత కథ మలుపులు తిరుగుతుంది. ఏ ఛానెల్‌కు ఇంటర్వ్యూ ఇవ్వని సత్యమూర్తి(మురళి శర్మ)ను చందు ఒప్పిస్తాడు. ఆ తర్వాత హీరోకు యాక్సిడెంట్ జరుగుతుంది. ఆ తర్వాతే జరిగే కథే సినిమాలో అసలైన ట్విస్ట్.ఆ ట్విస్ట్‌తో ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ ముగుస్తుంది. హీరో, హీరోయిన్ల మధ్య కెమిస్ట్రీ బాగా కుదిరింది. 

సెకండాఫ్‍లో కథ మొత్తం హీరో మాట్లాడే భాష చుట్టే తిరుగుతుంది. ఎవరికీ అర్థం కానీ భాషలో మాట్లాడే హీరోను చూసి అందరూ ఒక్కసారిగా షాక్‌కు గురవుతారు. అసలు అతను మాట్లాడేది భాషేనా? లేక మానసిక వ్యాధినా? అనే విషయం చుట్టే సెకండాఫ్‌లో హైలెట్. ఆ విషయాన్ని తేల్చుకునేందుకు హీరోయిన్ వెన్నెల హిమాలయాలకు వెళ్లడం, రాజీవ్ కనకాల(డాక్టర్ కేశవ్), సత్య చేసిన ప్రయత్నాలు ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. ఒక్కమాటలో చెప్పాలంటే దర్శకుడు అంతరించిన పోయిన భాష చుట్టే కథ మొత్తం నడిపించాడు. సినిమా మధ్యలో సునీల్ ఎంట్రీ, బాబాగా అలీ పాత్రలు అదనపు బలం.  ఈ సినిమాలో ఒక్కమాటలో  చెప్పాలంటే 'పరాయి భాషని గౌరవిద్దాం,.. మాతృభాషని ప్రేమిద్దాం' అనేలా ఉంది. తెలుగు భాషను కాపాడుకుందాం  అనే సందేశాన్నిచ్చారు దర్శకుడు. 

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే...

రిపోర్టర్‌ పాత్రలో హీరో చందు ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. అర్థం కానీ భాషను అవలీలగా మాట్లాడి తనదైన నటనతో మెప్పించారు. వెన్నెల పాత్రలో హీరోయిన్ స్టెఫీ పటేల్ మెప్పించింది. ఇద్దరి మధ్య కెమిస్ట్రీ బాగా కుదిరింది. పృథ్వి, సత్య కామెడీ పాత్రలకు తగిన న్యాయం చేశారు. విలన్‌ పాత్రలో ఎమ్మెల్యే రామకృష్ణగా రఘు బాబు సత్యమూర్తిగా మురళి శర్మ, డాక్టర్ కేశవ్‌గా రాజీవ్‌ కనకాల, హీరోయిన్ తండ్రిగా తనికెళ్ల భరణి తమ నటనతో మెప్పించారు. అలీ, సునీల్ అతిథి పాత్రల్లో కనిపించి సందడి చేశారు. అస్లాం కేయి సంగీతం ఫరవాలేదు. సూపర్‌ గుడ్ ఫిల్మ్స్ నిర్మాణ విలువలు బాగున్నాయి.

సూపర్ గుడ్ ఫిలిమ్స్ నుంచి ఓ సినిమా వస్తుందంటే ప్రేక్షకులు ఆసక్తి చూపిస్తారు. ఆ సంస్థకు ఉన్న బ్రాండ్ వేల్యూ అటువంటిది. యష్ పూరిని పరిచయం చేస్తూ సూపర్ గుడ్ ఫిలిమ్స్ నిర్మించిన సినిమా 'చెప్పాలని ఉంది'..

సూపర్ గుడ్ ఫిలిమ్స్ పతాకంపై ఆర్బీ చౌదరి (RB Choudary) సమర్పణలో వచ్చిన సినిమా 'చెప్పాలని ఉంది' (Cheppalani Undi 2022 Movie). ఒక మాతృభాష కథ... అనేది ఉప శీర్షిక. ప్రచార చిత్రాలు ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకర్షించాయి. ఈ సినిమాతో యష్ పూరి హీరోగా పరిచయమయ్యారు. ఆయనకు జంటగా స్టెఫీ పటేల్ నటించగా... '30' ఇయర్స్ పృథ్వీ, మురళీ శర్మ, సునీల్, తనికెళ్ల భరణి, రాజీవ్ కనకాల, రఘుబాబు, అలీ, 'సత్యం' రాజేష్ తదితరులు కీలక పాత్రల్లో నటించారు. ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉందంటే... 

కథ (Cheppalani Undi Story) : చందు అలియాస్ చంద్ర శేఖర్ (యష్ పూరి) టీవీ ఛానల్‌లో న్యూస్ రిపోర్టర్. మాతృభాష అంటే అతనికి ఎంతో అభిమానం. టీఆర్పీ రేటింగ్స్ కోసం ఏం చేయాలని జరిగిన మీటింగ్‌లో ఎందరికో సాయం చేస్తున్న సత్యమూర్తి (మురళీ శర్మ)ని ఇంటర్వ్యూ చేస్తే బాగుంటుందని సలహా ఇస్తాడు. దానికి బాస్ నుంచి గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ రావడంతో సత్యమూర్తిని ఇంప్రెస్ చేసి ఛానల్‌కు వచ్చేలా ఒప్పిస్తాడు. ఇంటర్వ్యూకి సరిగ్గా ఒక్కరోజు ముందు చందుకు యాక్సిడెంట్ అవుతుంది. అప్పటి నుంచి తెలుగు బదులు అతడి నోటి నుంచి వేరే భాష వస్తుంది. ఆ భాష చందు లవర్ వెన్నెల (స్టెఫీ పటేల్)కు కూడా అర్థం కాదు. ఎందుకు అలా జరిగింది? ఫారిన్ లాంగ్వేజ్ సిండ్రోమ్ డిసీజ్ నుంచి చందు బయట పడ్డాడా? లేదా? వెన్నెలతో ప్రేమకథ ఏమైంది? సత్యమూర్తిని చివరకు ఇంటర్వ్యూ చేశాడా? లేదా? అనేది సినిమా చూసి తెలుసుకోవాలి.   సినిమా ఎలా ఉందంటే? (Cheppalani Undi Review) : కాన్సెప్ట్ పరంగా చూస్తే... 'చెప్పాలని ఉంది' సినిమా చాలా బావుంది. యాక్సిడెంట్ జరిగిన తర్వాత ఎవరైనా గతం మర్చిపోతారు. కానీ, ఇందులో హీరో వేరే భాష మాట్లాడటం వింతగా ఉంటుంది. ఆ సన్నివేశాలు అన్నీ నవ్విస్తాయి. హీరోగా యష్ పూరికి తొలి సినిమా అయినా సరే మంచి ఈజ్‌తో చేశాడు. అతని డైలాగ్ డెలివరీ, పెర్ఫార్మన్స్, స్క్రీన్ ప్రజెన్స్ బావున్నాయి. దీని తర్వాత మంచి అవకాశాలు రావచ్చు. హీరోయిన్ స్టెఫీ పటేల్ అందంగా కనిపించారు. సీనియర్ ఆర్టిస్టులు అందరూ చక్కగా చేశారు.

'చెప్పాలని ఉంది' దర్శకుడు అరుణ్ భారతి మంచి కాన్సెప్ట్ సెలెక్ట్ చేసుకున్నారు. అయితే... దాన్ని చెప్పే విషయంలో ఎక్కువ సమయం తీసుకున్నారు. కొన్నిసార్లు సన్నివేశాలు సాగదీసిన ఫీలింగ్ ఉంటుంది. దర్శకుడు లవ్ సీన్స్, యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ బాగా చేశారు. వింత భాష మాట్లాడుతూ హీరో చేసే ఫైట్ అలరిస్తుంది. యాక్షన్ స్టార్ హీరోస్ రేంజ్ ఫైట్స్ ఉన్నాయి. నిర్మాణ విలువలు ఉన్నత స్థాయిలో ఉన్నాయి. కొత్త హీరో అయినా ఖర్చు విషయంలో రాజీ పడలేదు. సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బావుంది. సాంగ్స్ విజువల్స్ కూడా! వాటికి ఇంకా మంచి ట్యూన్స్ యాడ్ అయితే బావుండేది. 'పరాయి భాషను గౌరవిద్దాం... మాతృభాషను ప్రేమిద్దాం' అని సందేశం ఇచ్చిన చిత్రమిది. కామెడీ, డ్రామా, రొమాన్స్, యాక్షన్... అన్నీ ఉన్నాయి. సినిమాను కొంత ట్రిమ్ చేసి ఉంటే బావుండేది. వీకెండ్ టైమ్ పాస్ కోసం అయితే ఒకసారి చూడవచ్చు. శుక్రవారం పదిహేనుకు పైగా సినిమాలు విడుదల కావడంతో 'చెప్పాలని ఉంది'కి బాక్సాఫీస్ పరంగా ఎటువంటి స్పందన వస్తుందో చూడాలి. హీరో, దర్శకుడికి నెక్స్ట్ ఛాన్సులు మాత్రం వస్తాయి.

Cricketer Yash Puri decided to become an actor a few years ago, and is now gearing up for the release of his film Cheppalani Undi. The movie has been advertised pretty well over the past few weeks. It is produced by RB Choudhary and directed b Arun Barathil. The film features Tanikella Bharani, Ali, Sunil, Satya and several others in key roles, while Stefy Patel is the leading lady of the film.

The story of Cheppalani Undi revolves around Chandrasekhar, who wants to make it big as a journalist. He tries his best to get his big break as a journalist. In the meantime, he falls in love and just when everything seems to be going fine, his life is seemingly changed forever due an unfortunate incident. What is that incident and what happens in the end forms the rest of the story.

On-Screen Performances:

Yash Puri looks good, but is good in certain scenes as well, especially in those where he is seen speaking a different language. He has definitely improved a lot as an actor when compared to his previous venture, but he has a long way to go. He has also improved his dancing and action skills. Yash fell very short when it came to emotional or serious situations, as he wasn’t able to sell the situation well.

Stefy Patel doesn’t make any impact and is very much forgettable in the role that she’s been given, and with her performance as well.

The supporting cast, Tanikella Bharani, Sunil, Satya, Ali and others are good in their roles. Rajeev Kanakala is seen in a key role in the film, and he’s good as well.

Off-Screen Talents:

Director Arun Bharathil has chosen a familiar concept with a slight twist, nevertheless, the overall concept of the film is pretty decent. While his comedy works is places, mostly because of the cast in the movie, it falls flat predominantly. The film could have been executed better, and the screenplay could have been written better. The screenplay is quite predictable and the entire film lags a lot, which is a major drawback for the film.

The background score of the film dissolves into the background, and doesn’t really stand-out. The camera work is okay, and the production design is alright as well. The editing could have been a lot better.

• Lead actors’ performances
• Too much lag
• Predictable storyline

Verdict: Cheppalani Undi had a lot of promise to its concept, all of which has been lost in its translation to the big screen. The film can be safely avoided in theatres, and is best to watch on OTT.

Cheppalani Undi is a 2022 ‘romcom’ Telugu movie that portrays the life of a Telugu boy who under unforeseeable circumstances forgets his mother tongue i.e ‘Telugu’.It is the 94th production of Supergood Films co-produced by Hamstech Films. Directed and written by Arun Barathi starring Yash Puri,Stefy Patel, Tanikella Bharani, Satya, Prudhviraj, Murali Sharma, Sunil, Satyam Rajesh, Ali, Rajeev Kanakala, and Raghu Babu. It is a family entertainer that incorporates a storyline with an incident of a boy’s life that has changed his life. The film received a decent mix of reviews for its different concept. A light-hearted film filled with comedy, music, action, and thought-provoking storytelling.

Supergood Films.

Supergood Films, also credited as Mega Supergood Films in Telugu cinema, is an Indian film production and distribution company in Tamil cinema established in 1980s by R. B. Choudary. The production company has successfully launched 93+ movies and Cheppalani undi is their 94th launch.

After successfully pioneering in the field of creative education, Hamstech launched it’s film production company, Hamstech Films with an aim of delivering entertainment. In collaboration with Supergood Films, Cheppalani Undi is its first Telugu movie production.
