  • Wellbeing in North Pres.

Welcome to north presentation primary school.

We are a vibrant primary school for boys and girls situated in the heart of the historic north side of the city, near the beautiful Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Anne. We have a very diverse school community and are proud of the many different cultures and nationalities our children represent.

North Pres. has a long and proud history of education on the north side of Cork city. Our aim is to combine the best traditions of the Presentation ethos with modern teaching aids and ideas so that our pupils can look forward to the future with confidence.

We as a staff at North Pres. strive to ensure the best educational outcomes for all of our pupils. We firmly believe in the importance of developing our pupils in a holistic way; socially, emotionally, physically as well as academically. We do so in a way that is fun and meaningful for the children.

Working in partnership with parents, guardians and the wider school community is of the utmost importance to us. You as parents and guardians are the primary educators of your children, therefore we strive to have strong links between school and home.

We are very proud of our school here in North Pres. We aim to provide a safe, fun learning environment for our pupils, where they will flourish and grow.

We are looking forward to a bright and happy year ahead.

Kind regards,

Susan O’ Neill

Acting Principal

2023-2024 Fundraising Campaign

We have been very fortunate in recent years to improve the learning and education experience in our school by means of fundraising. This year, the purchase of three new interactive whiteboards was identified by our staff and management team as a priority. We have two Clevertouch smart screens in our school already and these boards have had a hugely positive impact on the teaching and learning for these classes.

If you would like to make a small financial contribution to help us purchase three new screens, you can make a donation online at the following GoFundMe page.

School of Sanctuary

We are working towards becoming recognised as a School of Sanctuary!

A School of Sanctuary is a school that is committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that benefits everybody, especially families seeking sanctuary. It is a school that helps it students, staff, parents, and the wider community to understand what it means to be a refugee and to extend a welcome to everyone regardless of their immigration status. Schools of Sanctuary is not a project, nor a short-term school initiative. It is a culture that schools achieve over time to ensure everyone feels welcomed, safe, and included in the school and beyond.

It begins with 3 core principles: Learn, Take Action and Share.
