His full name is Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati. He was born on 23 rd October 1979 to film producer U. Suryanarayana Raju and his wife Siva Kumari. He finished his schooling at DNR, Bhimavaram and graduated with Engineering degree from Sri Chaitanya college, Hyderabad. He is youngest of the three siblings and his paternal uncle Krishnam Raju Uppalapati is also a famous Telugu actor.
Career Beginning
Prabhas never had the interest to become an actor, he always wanted to be a businessman. But the fate has decided something else for him. His uncle Uppalapati Krishnam Raju, who is an actor requested Prabhas to try his luck in acting. He took his words into consideration and did his first movie “ Eeswar “, with the director Jayanth C Paranjee, in 2002. It didn’t do well at box office. His later movie “ Raghavendra (2003) ” too failed to establish him as a good actor.
Breakthrough Role
Despite Prabhas being acted in Eeswar and Raghavendra, his major breakthrough came by the movie “ Varsham (2004) “, which was a blockbuster hit. It was a romantic action film directed by Shoban. This movie won him several awards including CineMAA Award for Best Actor. This movie became the highest grossing movie of Prabhas during the initial days of his career.
A Movie With SS Rajamouli
After his blockbuster hits, Prabhas continued his career with movies “ Adavi Ramudu (2004) ” and “ Chakram (2005) “. The Shy One
Prabhas is a super shy and reserved person by nature. He’s known to stay low and talk limitedly. Whenever people asked him if he wanted to be an actor in his childhood, he’d reply negatively. His mother, too, supported him as she didn’t want him to go through the cut-throat competition in the industry among the actors.

He has to have 20-30 different dishes on the table for him to start eating. Once, his brother had got everything ready on the table in his farmhouse when he was gone for football practice.
At 02:00 AM, he came back, looked at 30 different cuisines on the table, and made a fuss about not finding the chutney. He maintained that he wouldn’t start eating until he got his chutney. So, at 02:00 AM, his brother went home, made his wife cook chutney, and brought it to him at 03:00, and then only he ate.

Prabhas fondly calls everyone “darling” on the sets. He is not aware of how he caught on the word. He loved Puri so much that he addressed him as darling during the making of the film Bujjigadu. Puri liked how he said it, so used it in the film, and later made a film called Darling. Puri and Rajamouli also addressed him as darling in public on various occasions like audio launches and became his permanent nickname.

Prabhas Biography
Prabhas was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on 23th October 1979. His original name is Venkata Satyanarayana PrabhasRaju Uppalapati.
He's an Indian actor who primarily works in Telugu cinema. His films like Varsham, Chatrapathi, Bujjigadu and Baahubali are well known.
Personal Life:
Prabhas’s parents are late U. Suryanarayana Raju and Siva Kumari. He has two siblings, one of whom is Pragathi Uppalapati and one is Prabodh Uppalapati. Krishnam Raju Uppalapati, his maternal uncle, is a renowned Tollywood actor and politician.
Prabhas began his acting career in 2002 with the Telugu movie Eeshwar. With his 2004 release Varsham, he enjoyed fame, where he featured with Trisha Krishnan. He acted in Adavi Ramudu and Chakram after Varsham.
In 2005, he switched to the strong performance in the blockbuster Chatrapathhi movie where Shriya Saran played the opposite role. After Chatrapati he acted in the films, such as Yogi, Pournami, and Munna. Bujjigadu, his 2008 release, brought him much needed success.
He appeared in a few moderate hit films including Mr Perfect, Rebel & Mirchi among others from 2008 to 2014. He appeared in 2015 Epic Baahubali of S.S. Rajamouli: The Beginning. This film has accumulated worldwide commercial and critical recognition.
Shortly after the first part, its sequel became the most anticipated film. The sequel was released in March 2017. The film was screened on 900 screens and shows were booked beforehand for the first week.
The film is sort like a prequel than a continuation, and Prabhas acted in this film by keeping all his efforts. He was then seen in Saaho bilingual suspense movie alongwith Shraddha Kapoor. This film will mark his film debut in Bollywood.
He has overcome Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan’s likes and got a statue as Amarendra Baahubali, based on his Baahubali role and also like wearing the armour of the war. In the past, Prabhas stated he never thought of being an actor, and just wanted to be a hotelier in fact.
